Good comedian, not really Prime Minister material

My first thoughts at the beginning of Ed Miliband’s speech at the Labour Party conference is that he has been channeling Neil Kinnock, from the moment he come in and shouted ‘hello Manchester’ right through to the familial homilies.

He really is NOT looking like a potential PM.  And his tacking left is making him seem as if he has the shade of Foot lurking behind him.

It is like watching a combination of Tommy Cooper and Ronnie Corbett’s stage personas suddenly being put in the positon of being leader of the opposition.  Its funny but it doesn’t engender confidence.  It was so bad I felt sorry for the guy and turned it off.
