The law of the land should be the law of the immigrant no matter what his religion. However this doesn’t seem to apply to Britain’s Islamic guests, one of whom has claimed that Shariah Law led him to not declare a bank account.
The Daily Mail reports that an Iraqi welfare cheat claimed £35,000 in various benefits while having another £35,000 stashed in a bank account which he didn’t declare to the welfare authorities when he claimed benefits.
The Mail said:
“An Iraqi immigrant who falsely claimed at least £35,000 in benefits has been spared jail today.
Majid Hussain claimed income support, housing benefit and a council tax reduction for more than a decade – despite having more than £35,000 stashed away in a bank account.
He had denied three counts of benefit fraud but was found guilty at Exeter Crown Court.
Hussain walked free from court however, when he was handed a nine month suspended sentence.
The court had heard during the trial how Hussain, of Exeter in Devon, arrived in the UK as a mature student in the 1980s funded by Saddam Hussein’s government.
He was left around £18,000 by his father but said that the money had been put into a Royal Bank of Scotland account for use as a trust fund to pay for his children’s education.
But the unemployed 62-year-old signed forms saying that he did not have any undeclared savings when claiming benefits
He said that under Sharia law he did not consider the money to belong to him.”
The money may not have belonged to him but he had a duty to declare that he had control of the account when he claimed benefits.
The Daily Mail added:
“While claiming benefits, the account grew to be worth £36,000.
Hussain, who has never worked since he arrived in the UK, received at least £35,000 in benefits between 1997 and 2010 – though the precise figure can never be determined because records do not go back far enough.
The father of four stopped receiving income support after the existence of the account was revealed in 2010 – at which point he immediately began withdrawing money from it.”
I’d love to know how this welfare cheating bastard, managed to add 18 grand to the account while never doing a stroke of work.
Sadly income support was not the only bit of taxpayer supplied wedge he gets given.
“However, he is still receiving disability living allowance because he suffers from Crohn’s Disease, kidney problems and muscle pain.
The jury was given a dossier of forms signed by the defendant in which he declared that neither he nor any of his children – aged between nine and 18 – had any savings affecting the means test for their benefits.”
That doesn’t change the fact that he should have declared the existence of the account on the welfare means testing form. Hussain then hid behind religion and said that he didn’t declare the account because the Koran told him that the money wasn’t his.
The Mail report added:
“Testifying in court yesterday, Hussain said: ‘I read the Koran and in the Koran it commands you to honour your parents.
‘You have to respect them. In the Koran we call them the “Second God”.’
He continued: ‘I have an article of the Koran here – it says, “Allah commands you to render back your trust to those to whom they are due and not to break your oath. For Allah knows all that you do.”
‘That’s what we’ve been taught – always obey your parents. I was just going to keep the money for my children and not touch it. I had no right to the money.’”
Lots of religions tell the adherent to honour parents or look after children. They don’t tell their adherents to cheat the welfare system or to not declare funds that a person controls to the welfare authorities when claiming benefits. Also the ‘Render back your trust quote’ could refer to any oath made or any of those who have trusted you.
The Mail article continues:
“He then allegedly started withdrawing large sums of money from the RBS account, reducing it by £24,000 over seven months.
Mr Evans told jurors: ‘I am afraid that his declarations that he had no bank accounts or savings with his wife or any children he was claiming for was a lie.
‘If he would have disclosed this account then he would not have been entitled to benefits at all.
‘He has been dishonest claiming his benefits, he knew that he should have declared the account and he failed to do so dishonestly in order to claim benefits.’
Sentencing Hussain, Recorder Paul Dunkels QC said: ‘The jury rejected that this money was held in trust for your children’s education.
‘The (benefit) forms you filled in when making your claims made it perfectly clear that you had a duty to tell the authorities (of the money).
‘The real extent of how much money (paid in benefits) can never be obtained because your fraud has gone on for such a long period of time.’
He made no order for costs, although confiscation proceedings are expected to be taken against Hussain.”
So this money that he said was for his children’s education and wasn’t his appeared to be withdrawn by the defendant quite quickly once he was told that he had too much money saved to be allowed to claim certain benefits.
I wonder what happened to this money. Hopefully the confiscation proceedings will shed light on where this money went.
Lying to the authorities about his savings because the Koran told him he could, is just another example of Taqyyia (lying to promote or protect Islam or benefit the individual member of the Ummah) in action.
Hussain has cheated the welfare system, has not contributed to the taxation system and is now a convicted criminal. Do we really need such a person in the UK? Why not remove him, if not to Iraq, but to some other Islamic nation who will take him?

So basically he got let off scot free. I don’t suppose for a moment they confiscated the money to repay what he had stolen. That would be much to logical.

It’s disgusting that this bearded savage has walked. It does make me wonder if someone from another group would have been treated as lightly by the courts.
Part of the problem is that unlike other nations that have a welfare system, Britain far too often allows those who haven’t contributed to take out of the system. To give you an idea how bad the problem is with this particular demographic remember that Britain’s Islamic parasites cost us at least £15 billion per year in benefits and that figure doesn’t include the extra security apparatus to protect us from those Muslims who take the Koranic commandment to ‘kill the infidel wherever you find them’ seriously.

As if this is not enough, the total prison population in the UK amongst category A and B criminals (the worse crimes) is now 35-39% Muslim.
Since current statistics fail to clarify how many actually collect benefits and whether unemployment figures include those on disability and in prison, only a crude estimate can be made. The indications are nevertheless shocking: that out of 5 million Muslims living in Britain (2012 unconfirmed estimate increased the population number from 3 million), roughly 4.25 million Muslims, or more than 85%, live off tax payers. If we average this with a simple, quick calculation of the minimum benefit payment of £67 a week, at least £ 284,750,000 per week (£1.139 billion per month) is spent from taxpayer money on Muslims who barely contribute anything whatsoever to Britain’s revenues – except making more Muslims.
The calculation is not detailed enough to include housing benefits, childcare support, medical care and other coverage. We can estimate that only in unemployment support, Muslims cost the British government at least £ 13+ billion a year.
We must be completely stupid and suicidal as a nation to put up with this.
DLA may not be means tested but he still lied about the hidden account, and didn’t contribute to the welfare system at all but still managed to claim, that needs to stop. When the Welfare State was created it was sold to people as a contributory insurance system where you get paid out, if you have paid in. Sadly, over the years the political Left has changed this to a system where those who contribute the least, get the most out of the system. That cannot be right. There will always be people with congenital conditions that render them disabled and they should be helped, but this guy doesn’t come into that category.
He should be deported, without a shadow of a doubt. Far too many people convicted of benefit fraud get suspended sentences. The question is how many others of this particular demographic are milking the system often whilst trying to destabilise the country?

Regarding the trust fund idea. He could and should have got a lawyer to hold the money in trust for the children, in an account to which the offender didn’t have control or access.
