Rabbi attacked in Gateshead, Islamic Bearded Savages charged with assault

Gateshead in Britain’s North-East

.

After an attack on a Rabbi in Gateshead, UK earlier this month, police have finally apprehended some suspects and charged them with racially aggravated assault.

It will come as no surprise to anybody who reads these pages that the alleged perpetrators were, judging by their names, Muslim. I’m not going to commment much on this case because it is sub-judice except to say that the numbers of this sort of offence grow in any country when it allows the ideology of Islam to metastasize within its borders. Across Europe we have seen episodes of violent Islamic Jew-hatred the like of which has not been seen in Europe for many decades. We should not be tolerating the intolerable hatred and backwardness of Islam.

Here’s the press report from the Gateshead Evening Chronicle

“Police have charged four teenagers in connection with an assault on a rabbi in Gateshead.

The victim, in his 40s, was attacked as he left a Jewish study centre at the centre of the North East’s biggest Orthodox Jewish Community, in Bensham.

Northumbria Police spokesman said: “A report was received that a man had been assaulted on Rydal Street in Gateshead in the early hours of the morning of Friday July 18.

“The victim suffered minor injuries.

“Qaiser Malik, 19, and Balawal Sultan, 18, both of Newcastle, and male youths aged 17 and 16 have been charged with racially aggravated common assault. They appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court on Saturday July 19.”

All four are due at Newcastle Crown Court on August 4, for a plea and case management hearing.

We should be thankful that this Rabbi only received minor injuries in the attack upon him, but this sort of attack, especially those motiviated by Islamic Jew-hatred, will not go away. We cannot wish away the hatred that Islam has for Judaism and I might add, Christianity as well, or delude ourselves that a bit of ‘kumbaya’ interfaith work will do the trick and stop the hatred. Islamic hatred needs to be countered, harshly and soon, because there will be no peace for any Briton, no matter what their peaceful belief and no mater what their skin colour, until that happens. Islamic hatred does not stop at Jews and this is something that non-Jews would do well to remember. Today on the streets of Europe’s cities we see Muslims baying for the blood of the Jews, tomorrow they will be calling for the slaughter of the Christians, Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, neo-Pagans, and secularists as well.

Here is a copy of a leaflet being distributed amongst the North London orthodox Jewish community:

“Fellow Jews – Let Us Not Be Afraid To Act!

Fellow Jews – attacks on our people are on the rise all over the world.
Throughout Europe, North America, and even Australia, Jews have not found
themselves subject to such assaults since the days of the Nazis.

Fellow Jews – shall we just sit here with hands clasped and do nothing?
Shall we sit idly by while our brothers are targeted for condemnation and
violence on the streets, in their homes, in their synagogues?

Fellow Jews – it is time to act! We cannot let this go on! We all know
what the causes of these attacks are.

The cause of these attacks is that the world thinks the state of Israel
is the nation-state of the Jewish people and their actions represent world
Jewry. They attack us because they believe we are them. They attack us because
they believe we represent their enemies, the Zionists.

But it is not the Jews who are at war – it is the state of Israel. It is not the Jews that the fury of our
attackers is directed at – it is the Zionists. The Zionists who have usurped
our identity and represent themselves as “the Jews.” For a hundred years and
more the Zionists have been doing this, in order to cloak themselves in the
mantle of esteem that rightfully belongs to the Jewish people.

The Zionists have sullied and soiled that mantle in the eyes of the
world. Our mantle. The mantle of Jewishness that the Zionists have no right to
    speak for.

Jews are a peaceful people. We are a religious people. We are prohibited,
according to our religion, to wage wars during our exile, until the Messiah
arrives. An exile that the Zionists think they can repudiate, and a Messiah
that the Zionists think they can replace.

The Zionists’ impersonation of the Jewish people has succeeded in causing
them to identify the entirety of the Jewish people as Zionists.

Fellow Jews – it is time to act! We must open our mouths and teach the
world that the Zionists do not represent the Jewish people. That Israel is NOT the nation-state of the Jewish
people; that the Jewish nation has no part in the acts of the state of Israel.

Fellow Jews – it is time to speak up! Do not be afraid! Let us rise up
together with one voice and tell the world that Judaism is not Zionism! Shall
we allow our brothers and sisters all over the world – our fellow religionists
    – to be mistaken for Zionist nationalists? Shall we allow our holy Torah to be
    deceitfully presented as politics?

How can we sit by idly and allow Judaism to be deceitfully portrayed as
    Zionism?

How can we sit idly by and let our brothers be held responsible for the
acts of a nation that is not theirs.

Fellow Jews – let us not be afraid to act!

And let us act now – while we still have a chance to act”.

Thank you for sending this but I’d like to make a comment on it if I may. Sorry if I’m teaching grandmother to suck eggs here but the Jewish community is not a monolith, and contains people and groups with a variety of opinions, some I agree with and some I do not.

I disagree with this leaflet that was distributed as I believe that the Eternal One doesn’t mean for people to sit on their hands and do nothing and just wait for Him to come to the rescue. There are biblical examples of the Israelites being rescued directly by God using His ‘outstretched arm’, as in the story of the crossing of the Sea of Reeds in the Book of Exodus, but there are also examples, most notably in the Book of Esther, where God is not mentioned at all and all the saving of the people that needs doing must be done by the people Israel themselves. I think both faith in God and getting off your backside and doing something positive like, building a hospital or even building a country, are equally valid concepts and very much complimentary. I can see where the writers of this leaflet are coming from theologically, but it is not a point of view that I share.

The desire to return to Zion and to end the Exile and to be a free people in a free land and to worship God in the ancestral land is much, much older than the writings of Herzl and the early political Zionists in Britain and America. The looking to Zion was there after the expulsion of the Jews from what is now Israel by the Romans, and was even there in the laments of those who were exiled in the first, Babylonian expulsion in 597 BCE.

This attack on Zionism looks very much like it comes from one of the Haredi or strictly Orthodox Jewish sects, possibly the Satmars or maybe someone from a real ‘out there’ group like Neturai Karta. The Satmars along with some other small sects of Haredi Judaism believe that there are theological reasons why the state of Israel should not have been re-created. They believe that no other hand than that of the Messiah or the Moshiach as he is called in Hebrew, can end the Exile. These particular Satmar Haredi Jews that I mentioned despise the State of Israel but that hatred doesn’t stop them from claiming dole money off the Israeli state in order to study Torah all day and every day and never get a job. This in itself is an action that goes against Jewish principles as even the great thinkers of Judaism such as Maimonides did a job of work in addition to being a great religious leader.

I’m a Zionist because I know that the alternative to there being a State of Israel is a life of permanent uncertainty for Jews. Even previously safe countries like Britain can suddenly become unsafe because of the actions or inactions of a Government or a Monarch. Britain has been made unsafe for Jews because the Government mistakenly allowed the Islamic cult of death to grow within its borders. Who would have thought that this would happen in Britain, if you had time travelled back to 1950 and told a person what Britain would be like in 2014. A mistake by Government in allowing in Islamic savagery is going to cost not only British Jews dear. Any country can go bad and any country can turn on its Jews even the safest looking nations can ‘go rogue’. After all look at Germany, prior to 1933 it was the home of the most integrated and equal Jewish population in the world, it was a leading centre of learning for Reform Judaism. Germany was the epitome of the tolerable Exile, the Exile where there is equality and Justice for both Jew and Gentile. Then looked what happened. I’m also a Zionist because if there had been a State of Israel in 1933 6 million lives would have not been lost. I’m also a Zionist because when the Arab states turned on their Jewish minorities in 1948 because there was an Israel to go to, many of these oppressed Jews survived because they were given shelter in Israel.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and call the publisher of this leaflet a ‘Meshugana’ or crazy person. However I’d be interested in seeing a scanned copy of it as a curiosity. Jews do not all have one opinion and this is just another example of someone or some group exercising their right to disagree with other Jews.

For my part, I dislike the Satmar ideology mostly because of the question of the validity of the State of Israel. I also have ‘issues’ with the Satmar ideology because their Rebbe was such a fanatic anti-Zionist that he refused help from Zionists and secular Jews during the 1930’s allegedly to the detriment of his own followers. I don’t hate the Satmars but I vehemently disagree with them on the issue of the question of is the Moshiach necessary in order to end the Jewish Exile. On one thing I will agree with this leaflet on, and that is that it is wrong to conflate all Jews with the State of Israel. A non-Israeli Jew has very little say in how the State is run and that is as it should be, after all the Galut or Exile Jew doesn’t pay tax to the State, nor do they do the compulsory military service that Israeli Jews and others do and nor are they eligible to vote in Israeli elections. Although Israel is the Jewish homeland and the Jewish State, this group is correct in their assertion that the political entity that is Israel, is not Judaism, even though there are many Galut Jews who support Israel. Some Jews are on the political Right, some are on the political Left, some Jews accept the State of Israel and some do not. I see nothing especially wrong with patriotism and nationalism although I do have a big problem with race based nationalism, because I beleive all men and women are created equal even if the different ideologies and cultures that different peoples espouse are not.

Sorry if this reply has turned into a bit of a ‘Megillah’ or long story but this leaflet needed to be put in context for people who may not have encountered the sentiments and theology expressed in it.

Addendum: There is always the possiblity that this leaflet or the text contained within it has not emanated from a Jewish group but from some other group with their own agenda, if you see what I mean. If anyone out there can throw some light on this leaflet and where it has come from I’d be interested to see the information.

I just hope that the autochthonous ethnic English (and Scots, Welsh and Cornish) will not let the history of Nazi Germany repeat itself on British soil.

It also makes Britain look really bad as those criminals are mostly described by the politically correct press as “British citizens”. Not everything which has a British passport is a Brit.

    • Fahrenheit211 | July 31, 2014 at 10:43 am |

I also hope that the history of Nazi Germany doesn’t repeat itself on British soil. The media description of Islamic Jihadis, rape gang members and corruptors of our public life as ‘British’ not only does a grave disservice to ALL Britons but is a slap in the face to all those who have made Britain their home, and have shown decades if not centuries of loyalty to it and who have contributed to it in diverse ways.
