If this is what she considers as a ‘good job’, I’d hate to see Joyce Thacker’s idea of failure.

Is it the case that, in the world of the Left, black is white, up is down and evil is good? Certainly it seems as if that could be the case, after reading an account of the appearance in front of the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee by Joyce Thacker, the head of Children’s Services in Rotherham.

Joyce Thacker appears to be trying to shift blame onto others for the scandalous situation where mass rapes by Muslims in Rotherham were ignored by the council, their Children’s Services Department and the police. According to the BBC report on her appearance before the Select Committee, she steadfastly refused to resign from her extremely well renumerated post.

The BBC said that Joyce Thacker told the Committee:

“ …..she had no intention of resigning her post.

Ms Thacker said: “I have known there was a huge problem of child sex exploitation, incredibly difficult to get this heard.

“We knew about child sex exploitation but not the scale of it. I don’t accept dereliction of duty, but I could have done more.”

She also said police did not appear to take the issue seriously.”

Ms Thacker seems to have forgotten that many abused girls and young women and, in some cases the victims’ parents, brought this matter to the attention of the council and the police but were ignored by all those entities that were tasked with protecting the children of Rotherham.

Ms Thacker also seems to have forgotten that she has ‘form’ for Islamopandering. It is alleged by a commentator on the Rotherham Politics website that whilst she was head of Youth Services in Bradford, she threatened Youth Service staff with dismissal on ‘racism’ charges, if staff continued to highlight the problem of Islamic Grooming Gangs in Bradford. The comment read:

“I have met Joyce Thacker on a few occasions, whilst she was head of Bradford youth service. At the moment there is an a yet to emerge story regarding grooming and child abuse in the Bradford/ Keighley area that is equal to if not bigger than the terrible events in Rotherham (see Anne Cryer MP, who has been vocal on this) Joyce Thacker oversaw the stopping of prosecutions, the stopping of the ‘groming and let the repeated rapes carry on…they still are going on. She had a reputation with staff as someone who would attack them in a brutal manner if they had the temerity to challenge her. I know that one of her lines was that if staff mentioned abuse by asian men, they would be dismissed for racism. As you can imagine, they were not happy bunnies, as some staff were working directy with victims.

Mrs Thacker has a track record in colluding with and covering up abuse.
She shoud face criminal prosecution for this collusion.

She has little professional experience or training in child protection.

In Bradford she left a ‘disrupted,’ youth service and a general atmosphere of fear regarding senior management

I worked for a charity project, and viewed with horror, her actions (in-actions!) and was disturbed when she got the job in Rotherham.Mabye she got the job as she is skilled in cover up, blaming others and dodging the bullets.

A word of warning; Joyce will be swift and nasty when challenged, blaming anyone and smearing them as much as she can. If she was profiled by a psychologist, the report would match that of a sociopath.”

When you look calmly at the massive numbers of Islamic rapes in Rotherham and the connections between these rapists, through powerful local individuals, to the seedy and corrupt politics of Rotherham, it is plain to see that the local authority openly favoured the local Muslims, including rapists, over and above the vulnerable girls of Rotherham.

It is almost beyond belief that Ms Thacker can claim with a straight face that she has not derelicted her duty to the children under her care. If 1,400 rapes, assaults and incidents of torture by Islamic rapists is what Ms Thacker considers as a success, then I dread to think what she would define as failure.

A noxious cloud of suspicion seems to have hung over her and her time at Bradford, and this cloud should have smelled badly enough to have called into question her suitability as head of Children’s Services for Rotherham at a time when the issue of Islamic Grooming Gangs was beginning to be revealed. If Rotherham Council really did have the welfare of abused or potentially abused children at heart, which I doubt, then the rumours about her conduct and the decimated Youth Service of Bradford, should have told them that MsThacker was not suitable to run Rotherham’s Children’s Services. A cynic may say that it was precisely because Ms Thacker was suspected of going easy on Islamic Rape Gangs, that she was considered as a safe pair of hands to run Children’s Services in the corrupt political cess-pit that is Rotherham.

How could Joyce Thacker not know of the scale of the Islamic grooming in Rotherham? The victims were screaming about it, the local people were screaming about it, youth workers knew about it and parents knew about it. There appears to be no truth in her weasel words about not knowing the scale of the problem. If she didn’t know, it was precisely her business to find out and dereliction of duty that she did not know and attempt to put a stop to it.

Joyce Thacker is not suitable to run a Children’s Services department, in fact I wouldn’t even trust her to run a whelk stall.

Does no-one have the power to fire her?

  2. Thacker is one of thousands of such LGOs at large in this country. Could Common Purpose be a common thread?
