Hero of the day, or even the year so far.

The land of Israel is beset by violent Islamic savages. No matter what the Israeli government or the Israeli people or non-governmental entities try to do to make peace with the Muslim Arabs (and it helps to remember at this point that not all Arabs are Muslim), the Muslims still won’t give up their desire to kill Jews. Every day seems to bring news of yet another tragedy caused by violent, hate-filled Muslims. No matter how much I wish for and pray that the children of Isaac and Ishmael will one day water their sheep together in peace, I’m realistic enough to know that hope and wishful thinking is sometimes not enough.

It’s almost unbearable to look at the news coming out of Israel, a nation that is on the front line in the war against Islamic savagery. It’s a case of attack after attack and unnecessary death after unnecessary death.

However in the midst of gloom there are heroes, sometimes unlikely ones who step up to the plate and do what is necessary. This is the story of one such hero. An strictly Orthodox Jewish man was collecting for charity in the town of Petah Tikvah when a ‘Thugistinian’ stabbed him. The victim then pulled the knife out of his own body and stabbed the Muslim assailant to death. Well done!

Here’s the Israelly Cool website on the hero of the hour.

Today, Israelis have been subjected to 3 terror attacks, perpetrated by friendly neighborhood palestinians.

In Jaffa, a palestinian went on a stabbing spree, killing an American tourist and wounding 10 others. And in a bit of irony. US Vice President Joe Biden was in the area at the time of the attack – visiting the Peres Center forPeace.

Earlier on, a terrorist opened fire with a Carl Gustav rifle at police officers operating on Salah e-Din Street near Herod’s Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City. After wounding a few, the officers  returned fire and killed the terrorist.

This follows an attack in Petah Tikva, where a terrorist stabbed a 29-year old ultra-Orthodox man – who was collecting money for charity. After being stabbed multiple times in the upper body by the palestinian, the victim pulled the knife out of his own neck, and stabbed his attacker, killing the terrorist.”

It’s well worth going to the Israelly Cool site and checking out the other heroic story of a man who walloped a Muslim terrorist over the head with a guitar and laying him out with it. Also worth reading is IC’s highlighting of the biased way these attacks on Israelis by Muslims have been reported. Too many media outlets are running with the ‘dead Palestinians’ line and playing down the fact that these ‘Palestinians’ have initiated the violence every time I recent months.

However, just as the breaking of the glass at a Jewish wedding is a reminder of the loss of the Temple, and that in the midst of celebration, there is also sorrow, so we must remind ourselves that an American tourist was also attacked today and murdered by another Muslim assailant and others were left with wounds. May the memory of this man, and indeed all those murdered by these savages be for a blessing. I’d also like to wish those wounded in these attacks a speedy recovery.

We in places like the UK or France or Germany etc should not look at attacks like these and think that these are only ever going to happen in a far away country of which most people know little, that would be too naïve a view. It is highly likely that the sort of stabbing jihad attacks that have been occurring at an alarming rate in Israel could easily happen elsewhere. As the number of Muslims grows in European nations, so will the number, a minority I grant you but a sizable one, who will feel that it’s their Allah-given right to stab first Europe’s Jews, and then everyone and anyone else who Islam disapproves of. What is happening in the streets of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem today could quite easily be happening in Tunbridge Wells or Jarrow tomorrow. The attacks on Israelis and visitors to Israel are a foretaste of what could come here in the future.
