Phoney Fiyaz spins for Shifty Sadiq

MY GOD! IT'S FULL OF SHIT.

It seems that certain Islamic grievance mongers are having a fit of the vapours about justifiable and evidence based criticism of Sadiq Khan, the Labour Party’s candidate for Mayor or London. Despite there being ample facts available about Khan’s dubious associates and dubious views, the disgraced ‘Islamophobia monitor’ Tell Mama, founded by Fiyaz Mughal has chosen to spin for Sadiq Khan. Tell Mama are doing this by saying that some of the more pungent criticism of Khan is due to Islamophobia. Maybe some is, but who cares. Islam gives the world a lot to be ‘phobic’ about. As far as I’m concerned being called an Islamophobe isn’t a problem for me nor on many others, and words like this are only really effective on people who are bothered about being called such names.

But let’s return to the story of Phoney Fiyaz and Shifty Sadiq. In an article on the Tell Mama website an anonymous author (who could be Fiyaz or one of his minions) laid heavily into comments, especially the online comments of members and supporters of the Liberty GB party. This is par or the course with Tell Mama, a bit of internet bin riffling and a ‘shock horror’ piece about what is said by those who dislike Islam which is published by TM a short time later.

This piece is similar but it is so close to the election that it really does appear to me, and may well do to others, as s ‘spin’ piece for Sadiq Khan.

Below you will find the TM article and my comments on it. As is usual policy for this blog, the original text is in italics whereas my comments are in plain text.

Tell Mama spouted:

As we run into the last week of campaigning for the London Mayoral election, it seems that far right extremist groups like Liberty GB and their coterie of haters have decided to play on the Muslim heritage of Labour candidate Sadiq Khan.

As is usual for groups such as these, any opposition to Islam or Jihad or any questioning of current government and EU immigration policy is automatically classified as ‘far right’.

We have highlighted Liberty GB before and more information can be found here.

When Tell Mama gets a bee in their bonnet about something they rarely let go. Mind you as I and others have found, being criticised by Tell Mama is normally a great boon in terms of increased coverage. TM rarely come out of the other side of these spats without coming off worse,or having their dodgyness exposed even further. For example: Their attempt to misuse and frankly abuse a mentally ill transsexual niqab wearer, in order to promote their ‘Islamophobia’ narrative, backfired on them when the full backstory of the mentally ill transsexual became known more widely. Tell Mama came out of that one looking like an organisation that does little to check the information and allegations that they are given.

We have also highlighted key activists in Liberty GB like Paul Weston. Yet, Liberty GB seems to want to reach the bottom of the league in its campaigning effort and by lacing campaigns with anti-Muslim prejudice and bigotry.

Have Tell Mama ever considered that there could be other factors, not related to unthinking bigotry why a growing number of people don’t like Islam very much? It couldn’t be the constant violence, the crime, the arrogance of too many Muslims, the rape gangs, the welfare seeking or the sedition could it? Surely not?

The following post on their Facebook page should be parodied, given the abysmal focus on one aspect of the identity of Labour MP and mayoral candidate, Sadiq Khan.

Tell Mama then go on to reproduce comments allegedly from Liberty GB’s Facebook page, and which I have reproduced below this piece. What is interesting about this, is how Tell Mama are sticking to the ‘Islamophobia’ line and completely ignoring the fact that there are cogent reasons for rejecting Khan. He’s not just the ‘son of a bus driver’ which is what Labour are selling Khan as, but a dangerous associate of Islamic extremists and someone who has defended and supported extremists in the past. Khan’s associations with those who quite frankly want us and our nation either dead or enslaved were not fleeting or made when he was young and daft. Khan’s questionable associates and causes were a feature of much of his professional and political life. It’s correct to highlight Khan’s heritage as the Liberty GB supporters have done, especially when that ‘heritage’ may well have played a large part in determining Khan’s political views. It’s not ‘racism’ or unthinking ‘bigotry’ behind a vehement dislike of Khan, it’s the man himself, his politics and his chosen politico-religious path.

Tell Mama, by ignoring Khan’s politics and also ignoring how his upbringing and background may have influenced that politics are spinning for Khan. It’s a spectacle of the ‘unbelievable’ supporting the ‘unedifying’.

Furthermore,  the kinds of abhorrent comments that are posted on the Facebook page of Liberty GB show the kind of audience that is attracted to them.

In other words who don’t buy Tell Mama’s ‘Islamophobia’ shtick, which I’m pleased to say is a growing number of people.

We hope that the British public respond by parodying groups like Liberty GB

It’s more likely that people will parody the mountebanks of Tell Mama.

whose aim seems to attract supporters who generally think the worst of Muslims.

Unfortunately for Fiyaz Mughal and his organisations, the main reason why people think the worst of Islam and about Muslims is the behaviour of Muslims themselves and the incompatibility of much of Islamic theology with modern mixed religion societies. If it were not for the bombing, the threatening, the aggression, the lying and other problems that Islam has brought to Europe then maybe people would hate Muslims just that little bit less. Yet again we see TM attempting to divert attention from a real problem onto one that is not.

The least we all can do is make clear that their messages of prejudice are unacceptable, inflammatory and downright vile.

And what about the constant tsunami of vile hatred that spews from the mouths of Islamic clerics, Islamic TV stations, Islamic politicians etc? Surely even Tell Mama can see that groups and parties like Liberty GB would not exist if it was not for the need to counter the hate that we the non Muslims of the world have been subjected to from the followers of Islam?

Not so much Liberty GB as the gross abuse of all of our liberties and freedoms.

No, the grossest abuse of our freedoms has that been perpetrated by the followers of Islam and their Quislings. It is they who have created the conditions which has put Islam beyond criticism even when criticism is richly deserved, it is they who have pushed people who are Islamosceptic towards parties like Liberty GB. If our mainstream political parties had not been so eager to avoid being called ‘Islamophobic’ or had bitten the bullet and realised earlier that Britain has an Islam problem, then maybe the sort of parties that Tell Mama decry, would not have to exist. I find it two-faced of Tell Mama who go seem so keen on Muslims exercising their right to free speech, to criticise those who are opposed to Islam exercising that same right.

One of the conclusions that can be drawn from this Tell Mama piece is that they see advantages either for themselves or Islam as a whole in Sadiq Khan winning the Mayoral election. This is why they are blatantly spinning for Sadiq Khan and criticising those who dislike him and all he stands for, whilst ignoring Khan’s dubious and long standing terrorist and terrorism supporting contacts.

Sadiq Khan’s career, contacts, associates, causes, party and indeed background, because you can’t leave out background, do all go together to make Khan appear to be a dodgy character who is unsuitable for the position of mayor. It says volumes that such a person is considered worthy of support by the Tell Mama organisation. Khan’s problem is not Islamophobia, it is long standing associations with extremism, and it is disingenuous in the extreme for Tell Mama to pretend that ‘Islamophobia’ is the problem here.
