The similarities and differences between June 6th 1944 and June 6th 2016.

Approaching Omaha Beach

72 years ago, on this very day, the cream of a generation of Britons, Americans, Canadians and other allies, stepped off of landing craft on to the beaches of Normandy and into a hellish firefight which at least 4,000 Allied troops would not survive. The Normandy Landings, also known as D-Day, marked the beginning of the end for the Third Reich. By establishing a bridgehead in Northern France, Allied troops could start the task of driving the Nazis out of France, and ultimately to destruction.

A terrible enemy, the Nazi Party, had emerged from the politics of a turbulent Germany. The actions of the Nazis destroyed a whole continent and their actions are a byword for genocide and cruelty. Historians and laymen still look at the rise of the Nazi Party and wonder just how could a cultured, literate and civilised country like Germany produce such beasts. These beasts gave the world death-camps, war and cruel and oppressive occupations of neighbouring nations. Nazi Germany was a shining example of horror in a century that was marked by the rivers of blood that are the hallmark of mechanised warfare.

Those who fought on the beaches of Normandy, some never to return to their families, bought freedom for us all, but at an appalling cost. For that we should remember and be grateful. The Governments who led the fight against the Nazis and the men who fought and died on that those beaches saw the sort of world that the Nazis created, and opposed it by any means necessary.

I’m in awe of what those who took part in the Normandy landings achieved. I’m here, my wife is here and my baby son is here, because of what was done on D-Day. Without what they the fighters did on those beaches, and subsequently in the struggle to liberate Europe, my wife, my son and myself would be merely ashes. This was the fate of millions but it was a fate spared us because of what those brave people did on the beaches of Normandy. They made the ultimate sacrifice so that my family and I, along with millions upon millions of others could live and equally importantly live in peace and freedom. At the rising and setting of the sun we will remember them and all that they did for us.

But the world doesn’t stand still. As time passes new enemies emerge, or even old enemies in new guises, and this time they are not only ravaging mainland Europe, but Britain as well. By this I speak of the ideology of Islam, a belief system that has far too many similarities for my liking to other blood-soaked systems such as Communism or Fascism. Like these other oppressive ideologies one day Islam is going to have to be tackled or it will destroy us all. At the moment the appeasers have the upper hand but the big question is how long that can that attitude continue in the face of revelation after revelation of aggressive Islam-inspired acts against the rest of us? The favoured phrase of these appeasers is ‘Islam is a religion of peace’ but the dishonesty of this phrase has been so comprehensively exposed that now the use of it, inspires mocking from those who know that Islam is nothing of the sort.

At the present time, to use a World War II analogy, we are in a ‘Phoney War’ situation regarding Islam. A large number of people really don’t believe things are as bad as they are and an equally large number of people are clinging onto comforting lies about Islam because the alternative is too scary for them. Soon though the Islamic bombs will go off, yet more areas like Newham in East London will be ethnically cleansed of non-Muslims, there will be more Rape Jihad attacks and there will be no alternative but for people to accept that truth that Islam is not a religion, it is an enemy, and fight it. Some of us are already fighting this disgusting, alien and violent ideology in the best ways we can even if it also means also having to fight our own Quislings who despise those who disturb their ‘peaceful Islam’ fantasy by giving them an unwanted dose of reality.

If we want to retain those freedoms that were bought for us many years ago then we too have to fight Islam and its Quislings. We can start this fight by telling the truth about Islam and not hiding its true nature by lies. At the present time we are lucky as unlike those who previously fought for us we are not being disgorged from landing craft onto a hostile beach, all we have to do is raise our voices. We don’t have to pick up a gun, climb into an armoured car or a tank or anything like that to hit back. We just have to tell the truth about Islam and Islam and its followers fear non-Muslims telling the truth about Islam so much that they will do all they can to stop it.

For a Muslim, a non-Muslim telling the truth about Islam is something that is considered blasphemy. It’s blasphemy to criticise Islam’s founder, a man of singularly unpleasant tastes and actions, blasphemy to do textual analysis on the Koran and other Islamic ‘holy’ books and blasphemy to draw attention to the extreme violence and baseless hatreds that are inherent to Islam.

If we submit to Islamic demands to not criticise Islam or point out that Mohammed the ‘prophet’ was a violent paedophile murderer or examine the Islamic texts to show that, like the Bible, it contains different hands from different times, then we will have unmanned and debased ourselves. We will have chosen to be someone, to quote Jack London, who is ‘lower than a snakes belly’.

We are so very very lucky at this stage of the latest incarnation of the war between Islam and the rest of the world. Not for us storming beaches under the oppression of gun, shellfire and bomb, to make our contribution to a fight that we must win,for the sake of our children. All we have to do is speak up.

As well as remembering on this day the heroism and sacrifice of those who liberated Europe from Nazi oppression, we should also make a pledge. That in future, as well as remembering the past, we will dedicate ourselves to that future. We can do this by making this day, and every day, Speak Out Against Islam Day. We should point out to our friends and family the depredations of Islam, we should speak to our mates down the pub of the mass rapes, the terror, the corruption and the ethnic cleansing that Islam brings wherever it goes. We shall tell the truth about Islam because telling the truth about Islam is affirming life, freedom and peace. To be dishonest about Islam or to stay silent or worse to appease Islam, is cowardice of the worst sort. It is the sort of cowardice that allows children some yet unborn, to be sacrificed to the grotesque fiery Moloch that is Islam.

You don’t have to get in a tank or pick up a gun to fight back. You just need to tell the truth about Islam because truth is a form of Kryptonite for Islam. Truth is the weapon we must all use to fight this monstrous, violent, rapine and oppressive enemy. Truth is freedom, truth is justice and truth is life.

Remember the dead, but to make their sacrifices meaningful, we must protect our children, our futures and our civilisation as well from an enemy that consistently tells us that they wish to destroy us.
