We should be worried when we hear that there are up to 1750 Jihadis primed and ready to attack

ISIS fanatics now waiting in Europe and ready to kill

We should be worried and also be on our guard because of the news that a large number of Muslims who went from Europe to fight for ISIS have returned with orders to carry out attacks on the rest of us. According to the Daily Mail newspaper which is in turn quoting from an EU security report, 5000 Islamic fanatics travelled to Syria and Iraq to fight for ISIS and up to 1,750 have returned with orders to commit atrocities in Europe.

This number represents a terrible threat to all of us and at this very moment these jihadis may be walking among us or more likely be being hidden among the continents Muslim minority in any one of Europe’s self created Islamic ghettos. Some of these jihadis that have returned have thankfully been jailed and some are being monitored by the security services but that will still leave a significant number free to cause havoc. A number of these jihadis will have returned legally to Europe using their own passports and identity documents and may probably be claiming that they’ve been ‘on holiday’ in some Muslim nation that they’ve got a family connection with. Others will be coming in posing as ‘refugees’, which is bloody good reason to say no more Muslim ‘refugees’.

However they are getting in we have to recognise that we have a problem. 1750 violent jihadis can do an awful lot of damage and cause a great deal of bloodshed. Remember it only took four violent savages to kill 52 innocent people on London’s public transport system so imagine the sort of hellish death count 1750 violent savages could be able to do?

Here’s the Daily Mail article based on the EU security report and it makes sobering reading.

The Daily Mail said:

Up to 1,750 ISIS jihadists have returned to Europe with orders to carry out attacks, an EU report has warned.

About 5,000 European fanatics have travelled to Syria and Iraq with between 15 to 20 per cent dying on the battlefield.

Up to 35 percent have returned – some with ‘specific missions’ – and 50 percent remain in the battle theatre, which amounted to between 2,000 and 2,500 Europeans.

Belgium expressed concern last month that jihadists were increasingly returning to Europe as US-backed coalition forces drive ISIS from territory in the terror-group’s self-declared caliphate across Syria and Iraq.

As many as 1,750 may have returned, based on the percentages listed in the report which EU counter-terrorism coordinator Gilles de Kerchove will present to EU interior ministers on Friday.

The report said there were two types of ‘foreign terrorist fighters’ returning.

‘Those in the majority that will drift back, and those who will be sent back on specific missions, which are of most concern,’ the report warned.

It said even some European women and children born or raised in the so-called caliphate declared by ISIS in Iraq and Syria could pose a security threat as they may have been radicalised.

Without giving figures, it said some returnees have been convicted and serving prison sentences, while others are being monitored and some are free in their communities.

It recalled that foreign fighters who have returned to Europe have staged both foiled and successful attacks, including the slaughter in Paris in November last year and this year’s bombings in Brussels in March.

Both sets of attacks were claimed by ISIS, which is also known by its Arabic acronym Daesh.

‘There is also a significant foreign terrorist fighter contingent with Daesh in Libya which might attempt to use their nationality or family connections to return to Europe,’ the report said.

Even if these numbers are only half true it looks as if we in Europe are going to face a significant security problem from these returning Islamic fighters over the next few years. I know some may think that I’m scaremongering but we all need to be on our guard no matter who we are or where we are, as we don’t know where these savages will strike. They may not strike in capital cities or transport hubs if security is heightened at these places but may choose other less well guarded targets instead. Unlike other terrorist groups in the past such as the Irish Republicans, who mostly went after government or military targets, the Islamic terrorists just want to cause as many ‘kufar’, that’s you and I folks, to die as possible.

Anywhere that mass deaths can be caused is likely to be a target. It could be a town with a military barracks, a shopping centre a theatre, who knows. What we do know however is that attacks will come at some point. Because of that we need to press our politicians about the nature and scale of this threat and get them to do something about not just the terrorists themselves, but the ideology that drives them and the communities that shelter and support them. The scale of the threat that we face from Islamic terror is so great that we should no longer give a free pass to or shrug our shoulders at communities who can’t even be trusted to cooperate with even the most basic of counterterror programmes and are reluctant to identify the terrorists who live among them. We in the wider community need also be much more honest about where the problems are coming from. Our current most pressing terror threat is not coming from the ‘far right’ and it’s not coming from the Left either, it’s coming from an ideology that has a very long history of using violence to achieve its aims and that ideology has a name and that name is Islam. Finally if the Muslim communities of Europe are as peaceful as they so often say they are then they must prove it. To Muslim communities I say: Give up your terrorists and extremists to the authorities, turn your back on and ostracise your shariah promoters and your promulgators of hatred against Christians, Jews and Gays and free your women from bondage. Nobody believes the often empty declarations of peacefulness any more and we in the wider community need to see you prove it now.
