At last! At least one UKIP branch is waking up to the danger of Shariah

Anne Marie Waters

I’m not a United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) member, but I have voted for them on more than one occasion and I have supported their aims of returning Britain to a state where we govern ourselves under our own laws. I’ve not always agreed with the party, but it would be odd if I did agree with everything that any party I belonged to said or did.

UKIP, like all parties, is subject to criticism and one criticism that I and others have had is that UKIP has not done nearly enough to tackle the scourge of Islam and of Shariah Law. For example: It disappointed me immensely to see UKIP candidate Paul Nuttall creeping and crawling around the Muslims of Stoke in search of votes in a recent by-election. UKIP should be recognising the dangers posed by Islam and the threat Islam brings to non-Muslims of all races and religions who live in the UK. It’s not more appeasement of Islam that is needed by UKIP or anyone else, it’s parties and organisations that will stand up for non Muslims that is required. I’m afraid UKIP has not done enough to highlight Islam or the problems that it brings.

In the past UKIP has to a large extent played politics by the rules set out by Leftist politicians and Leftist leaning media, this has seen the party sideline or remove those individuals in the party who hold views, especially regarding Islam, that are not approved of by leftist media or leftist politicians. I can understand why this happened at the time and I can understand why some in the party took the route of least resistance and made offerings to the false god of multiculturalism and ‘community cohesion’. It was probably seen by party management to be less damaging to bow to the false idol than run the risk of one candidate fighting for some parish council seat expressing an admiration for Enoch Powell, becoming the big media story and drowning out the party’s overall message. The problem with this course of action is that bowing down to false gods never works out well in the long run. The party has not spoken out as forcefully on certain issues, especially Islam, than it should have done and that’s bad not just for UKIP, as it makes them look just the same as the LibLabCon parties, but bad for the rest of us in the nation.

However, there does seem to be some sign that things may be changing in UKIP, at a grass roots level at least. The Barking and Dagenham Post is reporting that a local branch of UKIP in Dagenham has invited the excellent speaker Anne Marie Waters to address members on the matter of Islam and the threat this ideology poses. The meeting, which will take place in a pub in Dagenham tomorrow 21st March, is said to be being called to ‘address Islam’. It needs to be said at this point that the borough of Barking and Dagenham has been subjected to some pretty aggressive Islamisation with some mosque impositions being aided and abetted by the local council, much to the chagrin of local people. This Islamisation has brought zero benefits for local people and there have been hard fought legal battles between mosque promoters and those who want their areas to not go the same way as other East London boroughs such as Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest have gone. Whole swathes of these areas are now hostile mini caliphates and the electoral systems in these areas have been allegedly corrupted beyond belief by postal vote fraud and the whipped mosque vote.

Below you can find the full Barking and Dagenham Post article rather than an excerpt just in case this article ‘disappears’ from the newspaper’s website. As is usual policy for this blog the Barking and Dagenham Post copy is in italics whereas this blogger’s comments are in plain text.

The Barking and Dagenham Post said:

The anti-Islam director of Sharia Watch UK, Anne Marie Waters, will address the borough’s Ukip branch on Tuesday.

Below is a Tweet from Anne Marie Waters as quoted by the Barking and Dagenham Post

If you’re a #UKIP member & can attend this, please do. Its important that we address Islam & now is the time. https://twitter.com/peterjharris66/status/842372562281725954 …

The paper also quoted a Tweet from Peter Harris of the local UKIP branch which read:

If you’re a #UKIP member & can attend this, please do. Its important that we address Islam & now is the time. https://twitter.com/peterjharris66/status/842372562281725954 …

The Barking and Dagenham Post continued:

Ms Waters, who co-founded anti-Islamisation group Pegida UK with EDL founder Tommy Robinson, was today announced as guest speaker at the three-month-old group’s next meeting at The Eastbrook pub in Dagenham Road, Dagenham.

After branch chair Peter Harris announced her invitation on Twitter, the former family lawyer tweeted promising to “address Islam” on her visit as part of a tour of Ukip branches she hopes will spearhead a party movement called Ukip Against Sharia.

This is a movement that is sorely needed. Failure to tell the truth about Islam has been in my view, a failing of UKIP. It would be good to see UKIP start to recognise the Islamic threat and campaign against it.

We’re campaigning against something that causes immense human rights abuses all over the world, which is sharia law, which is derived from Islam,” she said. “It has terrible elements to it in terms of treatment of women, anti-Semitism and homophobia – we are against these things.

Ms Waters is correct, Shariah is indeed terrible and needs to be countered and not pandered to as has been done far too often in the past. People should remember that the reason why large areas of the East End are now considered as unsafe for Jews is not because the boot boys of Mosley are back, but because of the influence of Islam and Shariah. Shariah is an enemy of civilisaiton and an enemy of freedom and should be treated as such.

Nowadays the people that oppose that are deemed far-right – the far-right are on the other side.

There’s nothing right-wing or fascist about it.”

Well said there! There’s nothing ‘far right’ or ‘fascist’ against wanting to defend you nation and your family from hostile and oppressive ideologies and political systems.

A writer for pro-Trump news site Breitbart, she has written articles entitled Feminists Need to Know – Islam Kills Women and Dear So-Called Feminists – Your Open Borders Bullsh*t Will Ensure Thousands Of More Rapes and Sexual Assaults and said the 2015 New Year’s Eve rapes that hit Cologne, Germany, were an example of how cultural norms from Islamic societies could endanger the west.

Women are being raped by migrants in Europe – this is a massive fact and we saw it in Cologne,” she said. “We have completely different ideas of how women should behave and what women’s rights are.”

I commend both Ms Waters and the Barking and Dagenham Post for this quote. I commend Ms Wates for making it and the paper for having an outbreak of honesty and publishing it. It may be the first time that a local newspaper in East London has even properly acknowledged that a mass of Islamic sex criminals attacked women in Cologne, Germany on New Years Eve 2015. Too often we find local papers too afraid to rock the multiculti boat and it’s a pleasant change to see this not happening in this article.

The 2015 General Election Lewisham East for Ukip is an avid campaigner against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and child marriage and has 24,000 followers on Twitter, where she re-tweets controversial politicians such as Geert Wilders, who wants to ban the Qur’an in his native Netherlands and yesterday led his Party for Freedom to become the second largest in the country in the Dutch General Election.

In 2010 she signed a joint letter which was sent to The Guardian on the eve of Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to Britain that said the Vatican was responsible for increasing the spread of AIDS in poor countries, denying abortion to vulnerable women and opposing equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

All in all I think this article, written by Sebastian Murphy-Bates, was pretty fair on Ms Waters. There was none of the dishonest ‘shock horror’, ‘look at this awful neo-Nazi’ type reportage as we’ve seen in other local papers when criticism of Islam has been reported or counter-jihad people have spoken or are due to speak. They’ve accurately reported Ms Waters’ views on Islam and also shown that she is opposed to all religious doctrines that in her view oppress women.

Ash Siddique, a spokesman for Al Madina mosque in Victoria Road, Barking, said Ms Waters was entitled to share her views.

There’s not really much to say,” the 49-year-old said. “Good luck to her – if she wants to do that that’s her right.”

I’ll take Mr Siddique’s words at face value for a moment and state that if he truly respects people’s right to speak freely, even if it is against Islam, then all is well and good. However, this comment may be, how shall we say, ‘political’ if you see what I mean.

I hope that as many members of UKIP as possible can turn up tomorrow night and this blog would be very interested in receiving any reports from those attending about how it went. I wish Ms Waters all the best for the gig and would like to inform Dagenham UKIP members that Ms Waters knows her Shariah stuff better than most and is a very engaging and passionate speaker.

I also hope that this sort of thing is the start of a sea change in UKIP and that we will see it take much more of a critical line with Islam and Shariah than it has done in the past. Britain needs a non -racist, patriotic party that both sees and communicates the threat posed to all of us, no matter who we are, by the ideology of Islam, let’s hope that UKIP can in the future become that party.

  1. I heard Anne-Marie speak at a meeting of the New Culture Forum (full of Ukip members, not surprisingly since Peter Whittle ran it) and met her. She is a most remarkable and extremely brave woman and well worth hearing.

Ukip gets so much dreck thrown at it that I suspect it doesn’t want to make matters worse by making it easy to accuse it of the imaginary offence of Islamophobia. But there has to be willingness on the part of politicians and others to address the less savoury aspects of Islam and to tell Muslims to put their own house in order.

The Eastbrook isn’t a huge pub, but it would be nice to see it packed out. I suspect it’s been chosen as it’s close to the proposed site of a mosque.

Yeah I hope the meeting was well attended. I know the Eastbrook as well, went there a couple of times when I was with my ex when we lived near there. Mosque site is indeed close to the venue and I gather a lot of people are pissed off about this mosque imposition and the fact that the council seem to be in favour of it.
