The curious case of Diane Abbott’s ‘illness’, her removal and her equally appalling replacement by Lyn Brown as Shadow Home Secretary.

The labour shadow cabinet between the Scylla of Lyn Brown and the Charybdis of Diane Abbot

I don’t know if there is any truth whatsoever in the statement by the Labour Party that their gaff-prone, racist and thoroughly incompetent shadow Home Secretary is being replaced due to ‘illness’.

Of course if Ms Abbott is genuinely ill then I wish her a speedy recovery and return because a) it’s the humane thing to do and b) she’s a walking talking advertisement for why not to vote for the Labour Party.

On the other hand this could be a mere ‘political’ illness as it doesn’t seem to be stopping her from campaigning and her spokesperson said that she will be doing her bit to get the Labour vote out tomorrow. The nature of the illness has not been specified, which suggests that it’s something highly personal in nature which the shy and retiring Ms Abbott doesn’t wish to be disclosed at this time. The lack of detail will also feed suspicions that Ms Abbott has now become such a laughing stock and such a liability to Labour that she had to be replaced so close to election day. It may well be polling data that said Labour ‘Meh’ but Ms Abbott ‘ugh’ and this is why they’ve acted so swiftly to remove Diane Abbott?

Unfortunately what has replaced Ms Abbot is a politician who can also be described as ‘not much to write home about’. It is possible that Jeremy Corbyn may have appointed someone who is as bad as Diane Abbott but in different ways. Ms Brown is a former councillor in the Labour and Islam dominated London borough of Newham and is a product of the murky political establishment there. Sources that this blog has spoken to, who observed Ms Brown in action, when she was a councillor in 1990’s Newham, with responsibilities for arts, describe her as ‘arrogant’ and ‘domineering’. She has also worked as an ‘Equalities Officer’ in the neighbouring London borough of Waltham Forest and because of that role, may have had some part to play in turning Waltham Forest into the increasingly Islamised shithole that it is becoming.

Lyn Brown’s performance as an MP since arriving at the House of Commons in 2005 also doesn’t inspire much confidence. As shadow policing minister Lyn Brown seems to have done absolutely sod all about the rampant problem of acid attacks on her own Newham patch which is now the ‘acid attack capital’ of Britain, something that may well be related to the number of dangerous Muslims resident in Newham, to which the local authority panders to mercilessly. You’d think she’d do more and speak up more about such a terrible problem, wouldn’t you? It’s an issue that is a stain on her constituency and it’s a stain that any decent politician would want removed.

The personal conduct of Lyn Brown also leaves a lot to be desired. In one incident she swore and barged into a blind journalist at Portcullis House subjecting him to a withering and foul mouthed tirade.

The Devils Kitchen blog reported this incident thus:

Labour whip unleashed a four-letter tirade at a blind man for getting in her way during a fraught exchange in the Houses of Parliament.

Lyn Brown, the burly MP for West Ham, barged into the back of Talksport political editor Sean Dilley, and his golden retriever guide dog, as he was walking in a corridor towards Portcullis House.

Witnesses were shocked to see a clearly stressed Miss Brown bulldoze into the back of Mr Dilley before overtaking him, shouting: ‘For ****’s sake, move out of my ******* way.’

The journalist asked her to be more careful as he did not want to crash into his guide dog, Chip.

Miss Brown then sniped back: ‘You are such a rude ******* man, you just walked right in front of me.’

One source said a frustrated Mr Dilley then replied: ‘I’m blind, you stupid woman.’

He then demanded to know Miss Brown’s name, as he could not see who had bumped into him…

The Devils Kitchen then called Brown a ‘fucking cunt’ for her outrageous outburst and described her as a ‘Medusa’ and stated that Mr Dilley was somewhat lucky that he didn’t have to look at Lyn Brown.

For many people if there was a competition for a person least suitable for a position of power and authority then the winner would be Lyn Brown. Arrogant, aggressive, fond of throwing her weight around, are just some of the internet comments that have been made about her and her own actions have done nothing to dispel that opinion among people.

That this person could be seen by Corbyn as a potential Home Secretary shows both Corbyn’s piss poor judgement and also highlights the dearth of political talent in today’s Labour Party. I hope this appointment sinks Labour as it most certainly shows desperation to remove the appalling Abbot from the shadow Home Office post and replacing her with such an equally appalling creature as Lyn Brown.

Imagine Lyn Brown, an MP elected by and beholden to a large extent to the whipped and possibly fraudulent ‘mosque vote’ in Newham, being in charge of anti terrorism and national security, it sends shivers up my spine. It would be as disastrous and as inappropriate an appointment as getting a kleptomaniac to guard a bank vault.

The thought of Lyn Brown as Home Secretary should be all the encouragement any sensible person or any patriot should need to not vote Labour.
