It’s about time Eric Pickles did something about Tower Hamlets

Time to do something about Tower Hamlets Mr Pickles

There has been revelation after revelation about the corrupt and divisive practices going on in the Muslim dominated London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The elected Mayor, a man backed by the extremist East London Mosque and the Islamic Forum Europe group, has bullied opponents, tried to build a personality cult around himself, squandered taxpayers money, and brought in to public ‘service’ some extremely nasty Islamic henchmen. Basically we have a situation where a London borough is now controlled by Islamic nazis because that is what the IFE and its parent group Jamaat e Islami are.

At last it appears that the Government is starting to take notice with Brandon Lewis the local government minister accusing the regime of Luftar Rahman of practising ‘divisive community politics’ and subjecting the council to ‘mismanagement’.

It is good that Mr Lewis has taken an interest in the political cess pit that Islam has turned Tower Hamlets into. Islamic rule over Tower Hamlets has seen the Islamic Shariah Patrols stalking the streets, the long established Gay pubs and their customers hounded out of the area and Muslim women who refuse to wear head coverings bullied into doing so. What is not good is why has this not been done before and why isn’t Mr Lewis’s boss, Eric Pickles taking a more pro-active part in dealing with the problems that exist in Tower Hamlets.

The Daily Telegraph journalist Andrew Gilligan has done a first class job of documenting the misdemeanours, corruption and Islamic entryism that has been going on in Tower Hamlets. Mr Gilligan greeted the involvement of Mr Lewis by this article on his Telegraph blog.

Mr Gilligan said:

“The extremist-linked mayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman (above), is under deepening pressure on all fronts today. His attempt to abuse the local government standards code to hound one of his most effective opponents, Cllr Peter Golds (see my account of it here) has humiliatingly collapsed, leaving council taxpayers tens of thousands of pounds out of pocket.

From the Labour side, the party’s leader in Tower Hamlets, Josh Peck, today attacked the council as a “basket case” suffering a “massive failure of governance, with some seriously worrying things happening.” Even Lutfur’s newly-crowned Young Mayor of Tower Hamlets, 16-year-old Mahdi Alam, has got himself into bother after posting threats to kill on Twitter. The lad’ll fit right in!

But the most important intervention of all came from the local government minister, Brandon Lewis. Yesterday, the Tower Hamlets Labour MP Jim Fitzpatrick had the answer to his Commons question about Lutfur’s misuse of taxpayers’ money on dozens of illegal propaganda TV commercials for himself (sharply condemned by the regulator, Ofcom.)

In his response, Mr Lewis went further than ever in condemning Lutfur’s regime. He called the illegal broadcasts “further evidence of a worrying pattern of divisive community politics and mismanagement of council staff and resources by the mayoral administration.”

This is striking stuff, which deserves to be heeded and quoted whenever Lutfur is mentioned. (For the benefit of new readers, he was elected with the close help of an Islamic extremist group, the IFE, which believes in turning Britain into a sharia state under Islamic law. In office, he has recruited people with close links to the IFE to key council positions, and channelled millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money to IFE front organisations. “

If Mr Pickles wants an ‘easy win’ in his position as the Minister with ultimate responsibility for local government, then he should act swiftly and intervene in Tower Hamlets. There needs to be a cleansing of the stables in that borough. It is quite plain from what has been widely written that there appears to be very little of Tower Hamlets that has not been corrupted by the IFE or East London Mosque involvement and maybe it is time for the council and senior officers to be suspended and managers put in by Mr Pickles department to run the council until new, and more importantly, clean elections can be held.

This disgusting boil on our local government system needs to be lanced, if it is not lanced then it will poison more than just Tower Hamlets. We must not let a combination of Islam and the Labour Party drag us back down into the era of the Rotton Borough.
