Miliband on the Middle East, it’s plain that his political prescription is to keep on Islamopandering.

Would you want this man in charge of Britain’s defences?

Despite speaking some mealy-mouthed words about how bad the Hamas terrorists are, a recent statement by the Labour leader Ed Miliband showed just how badly Labour needs the Islamic vote. With some reports saying that only one in five indigenous British-born voters now support Labour, the party has ceased to be the party of the British working person and instead has become the de facto ‘Islam Party’. His desire to put the greater weight of his disapproval onto Israel proves just how far Labour have sunk.

On Saturday 2nd August, Ed Miliband made a statement on the Israeli fightback against Hamas and, according to the Huffington Post, appeared to be more concerned with attacking Israel than attacking Hamas. Here’s the report of Miliband’s statement in the Huff Po with my comments in plain text.

“(Cameron) is right to say that Hamas is an appalling, terrorist organisation.

“Its wholly unjustified rocket attacks on Israeli citizens, as well as building of tunnels for terrorist purposes, show the organisation’s murderous intent and practice towards Israel and its citizens.”

Yes, Ed, anybody with half a brain or more can see that Hamas are modern day Nazis and need to be tackled in a similar way. In comparison with belligerents in other conflicts, both current and historical, Israel has behaved with great restraint on the battlefield. Hamas are such a dangerous enemy that you could quite easily make a workable case that the only way to deal with them is by a complete Coventrification of their territory, their fighters and their supporters, but Israel doesn’t do this. But that still doesn’t stop the Islamopandering Left from heaping criticism onto Israel. In my view, because Labour need to garner the Islamic vote, Miliband is considerably less vigorous in his condemnation of Hamas than he should be.

“But the prime minister is wrong not to have opposed Israel’s incursion into Gaza and his silence on the killing of hundreds of innocents Palestinians civilians caused by Israel’s military action will be inexplicable to people across Britain and internationally.”

The Prime Minister is not wrong to have declined to scream for the Israel-bashing club at the required volume. It is a virtually self-evident truth, to anyone not blinded by Leftist or Islamic ideology, that the aggressors in this conflict have been Hamas. The only people who find difficult the idea of Israel defending itself against the aggression of Islam and Jihad, are those who support Islam and Jihad and their useful idiots of the Left. There are many British people who know that the ideology of Islam is violent, rapacious, aggressive and untrustworthy and have seen these very qualities in Hamas and other Islamic terror organisations. Outside of Miliband’s target voter market of Muslims, there are many Britons who are not going ‘poor, poor Gazans’, but instead are saying ‘Go Israel ! Smash the savages of Hamas’. Those Britons who are going ‘poor, poor Gazans’ are normally those low information voters who get the majority of their news from the BBC. Outside the middle-class Left people can see that Hamas are nothing more than rabid dogs that need putting down.

If this is how Miliband panders to Islamic opinion whilst Leader of the Opposition, how much worse would it be if he was Prime Minister?

Miliband, who toured sites that have been targeted by Hamas rockets during his visit to Israel in April, added: “I am a supporter of Israel and I believe in Israel’s right to self-defence.

“But its military actions in the past two weeks have been wrong and unjustifiable.

You have to ask the question ‘what sort of self-defence would Miliband allow Israel to undertake if he was PM?’ Would he, in order to curry favour with the powerful Islamic wing of his party, tell Israel to not fight back even if Jihadi terrorists were popping up out of manhole covers in Tel Aviv or shooting from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem? Israel’s actions are perfectly justifiable, and I’d like to think that if Britain was threatened by Jihadis like Israel is threatened, then my country’s PM would pull out the stops and tackle Jihadi savagery. Statements like this do not give me confidence that a Miliband premiership would take any necessary action to deal with Islamic savagery, whether the problem was terrorism and Jihad or by tackling the sadly ongoing long-term problems of rape and corruption that Islam has brought into too many British towns and cities.

“The escalation of violence engulfing Gaza has led and is leading to suffering and destruction on an appalling scale and is losing Israel friends in the international community day by day.”

Of course the escalation of violence in Gaza has increased the suffering of civilians, that is sad and regrettable like all non-combatant deaths are in war. However it is not Israel that has escalated this violence, that is purely down to the actions of Hamas.

He continued: “Israel’s present military action will increase the future threats to its security rather than countering them.”

Since when did defeating a dangerous enemy, hell-bent on your destruction, count as making the victor less secure? If Hamas can be decimated and the threat from Gazan based terror neutralised, then the people of Israel will be more secure.

“Israelis rightly and justifiably want that security yet their government’s present actions instead risk simply growing a new generation bent on revenge.”

For every thing there is a season, a time to fight and a time to make peace. But there are also in some cases, a justifiable season for revenge and for pre-emptive action on those who have attempted to wipe out your people. Hamas and other Islamic jihadi organisations have stated that their military and political aims are to wipe out the Jewish people. To me, that looks very much like Nazism, and I have no moral qualms about taking revenge against, countering or even wiping out such scum. Any sensible person, whose brain is not corrupted by moral relativism and excessive humanitarianism, can see that defeat of all Islamic Jihadi organisations is the only way that individual freedoms, including religious freedoms, that have been hard-won, can be preserved.

If Miliband cannot bring himself to defend Israel, a nation that is on the front-line in the worldwide fight against Jihad, then can you imagine how he and his party will act when Britain gets attacked again by Jihadis or if Britain is confronted by more Islamic groups puffed up with feelings of self-entitlement, who demand yet more unearned respect and yet more pandering?

I can imagine Labour in Government again, and it is a horrible thought. A Labour government will not just be bad for relations with Israel, but will be bad for all of us.

  1. Ed, your favourite constituency will happily hang you for your religious background, and your thick enough to pander to the bastards.
