From Elsewhere: Sometimes bigotry can be a virtue not a sin.

There is nothing wrong with being bigoted against ideologies that do stuff like this.

I’m indebted to Anne Marie Waters and others for publicising this piece by the writer Paul Cooper about how bigotry about Islam is a common sense matter, and not something that should be condemned. It’s excellent and makes the important distinction between a justifiable hatred and dislike of the ideology of Islam itself, and not being bigoted against individual Muslims, too many of whom are to my mind prisoners of Islam, rather than active followers.

Mr Cooper said:

I find it a source of constant amusement when insufferable, virtue signalling, inverted racists of the regressive left label anyone criticising Islam as a ‘bigot. When it comes to Islam, I’m a self-confessed raving bigot. Furthermore, I’m extremely proud of my bigotry in this regard.

It is of course extremely important to note the distinction between anti-Muslim bigotry (the intolerance of all induvial Muslims) and anti-Islam bigotry (intolerance of the ideology, cultural characteristics and practises of Islam). To be clear, I’m a staunch anti-Islam bigot. I see no value in verbally or physically abusing an induvial purely because they are Muslim. Why protest against a thoroughly barbaric and retrograde ideology by acting, well, barbaric and retrograde. I find that type of hypocrisy embarrassing quite frankly. It is reminiscent of members of anti-Islam protest groups covering their faces with masks while holding a sign condemning face coverings in public; cringeworthy and embarrassing. “Face coverings in public should be banned because they are contrary to our culture. By the way. I hope you like this skulled bandanna wrapped round my face.”

My bigotry of Islam however ensures I will never stoop to the morally bankrupt depths of cultural relativism. A female in our country should not be subjected to subjugation, female genital mutilation, child marriage, degraded inheritance rights and less than equal rights when providing a testimony of evidence. I will not accept this in a modern democratic society, just because it makes us ‘multicultural’.

My bigotry of Islam ensures I will never be an inverted racist, such as what we constantly witness from the ever-growing regressive left movement. If it is good enough for a white western girl then it’s good enough for all girls, regardless of race and ethnic origin. I’m not going to show any form of tolerance whatsoever for inequality when it comes to women’s rights, and especially not for the thoroughly vile and morally bankrupt excuse of, “but that’s their culture.” To quote the great Professor Richard Dawkins, “to hell with their culture!”

A “bigot” is defined as an individual who is intolerant of the views of others. When it comes to matters pertaining to Islam, this is an extraordinarily accurate definition for me. I’m completely intolerant of Islam, and consequently a bigot of the highest order. I wear the bigot label quite proudly, and I encourage you to wear the label proudly also.

Here’s the thing, the next time some pseudointellectual knucklehead with a social science degree calls you a bigot, ensure your response is threefold. Firstly, congratulate them on being able to limit their vocabulary to five words (racist, Islamophobic, bigot, fascist and Nazi), as this in itself is quite an achievement. Secondly, congratulate them for possessing the correct definition and usage of the term bigot. Finally, let them know, like me, that you are an extremely proud bigot when it concerns the thoroughly backward, savage and totalitarian ideology that is Islam.

Just so we have no confusion here, I’m talking about Islam, not ‘radical Islam’, ‘extremist Islam’ or ‘Islamic Jihad’. Of course I detest those things also, but surely everyone can see these are just politically correct labels created to enable left-leaning media outlets – which in Britain and Australia is every single media organisation – to discuss the daily torrent of horrific incidents which are committed by people in the name of the religion which evidentially continues to have nothing to do with the religion which has nothing to do with itself.

There is little I find that I can disagree with in this article and Mr Cooper’s accurate description of the Liberal Left and the pro-Islam Quislings as people of a limited vocabulary is spot on. As many people as possible in free countries need to realise that bigotry about Islam isn’t a sin but a virtue and a vital part of self defence against an ideology that wants us non-Muslims either dead or enslaved.
