From Elsewhere: Troll level – ‘Master’

Top Trolling young man, well done.

I have to take my hat off to the 12 year old boy who when invited to go on a trip to visit the Cable News Network headquarters decided to wear a t shirt that said that CNN were the ‘fake news network’. The boy, from the US state of Georgia, has quite strong political views having grown up I a family that is engaged with elected politics and seems to know his own mind, donned the t shirt for the visit. Teachers however, mindful that this may insult or offend the CNN organisation forced the child to remove the shirt and put something else on instead.

The Truth Revolt website said:

Georgia seventh-grader recently wore an “FNN: Fake News Network” on a school field trip to CNN network, and his teacher’s made him remove it. His parents Nancy (a city commissioner) and Stan Jester (a school board member) say that this was a violation of his First Amendment rights. They want the school to apologize. Stan Jester wrote in a blog post:

This year when the CNN tour was announced, my 7th grade son Jaxon asked me if he could purchase an FNN-Fake News Network shirt to wear for his field trip. As an advocate for the First Amendment, I agreed to his request… His mother cautioned him that he might cause a controversy and needed to be prepared for that. He was fully aware of the implications of his decision and made the affirmative choice to wear his shirt.

He said that this was “hypocrisy” when considering what students in other schools do to express their First Amendment rights: “Some students are celebrated when they make a controversial display during the National Anthem. My student was forced to remove his shirt because someone didn’t like it. I defend speech and expression, even if I disagree, or it makes me uncomfortable.”

I stand with the parents on this issue. The boy understood about the freedoms granted by the First Amendment and exercised them in a manner of his choosing. It is indeed hypocrisy for teachers to force Master Jester into removing the t shirt when other students are celebrated by some teachers when they use their First Amendment rights to promote or support a Leftist cause.

This boy will hopefuly go far. He’s not yet that far into his teens and already he’s a trolling master. The only people who come out bad from this story are the school who have targeted Master Jester for his politics.
