It looks like the ‘religion of peace’ has been doing its thing again.

The interior of St Mark's cathedral that was bombed today

I try to be a cautious writer, I don’t like to say that a particular attack is related to Islam until I have some sort of data that I can trust before saying so. Sometimes, because of the nature of an attack, as in the case of the axeman who was shot dead by police in the British city of Hull in late November, it’s easy to jump to early conclusions and say ‘jihad’ and be embarrassed when it later turns out to be nothing of the sort. However, the attack in Cairo against the Coptic Christian cathedral there has all too many hallmarks of Muslim terror to not ascribe it as such. The choice of target, the choice of victim, the time that was chosen and the method of carrying out the attack all screams ‘religion of peace’ to me.

Twenty-five people have been killed and dozens injured in this latest savage attack on Egypt’s often greatly oppressed Christian minority. I very much doubt that any other group than Muslims could have carried out such a horrendous attack on peaceful Christian worshippers. I’ll say it loud and clear. It wasn’t Buddhists or Jews or Hindus or followers of the Flying Spaghetti Monster who did this, it was Islamic savages doing what these Islamic savages do best, which is killing and maiming people.

Here’s part of the Sky News report on this latest obscene Islamic atrocity to trouble this increasingly unhappy world.

Sky News said:

A bomb explosion inside the main Coptic Christian cathedral in Egypt’s capital, Cairo, has killed 25 people and wounded dozens.

Some reports say a bomb was lobbed into a chapel adjacent to one of the cathedral’s walls in the centre of the city but others said it was planted inside.

The spiritual leader of Egypt’s Orthodox Christian community, Pope Tawadros II has his office in St Mark’s Cathedral.

State television reported that a security official said a bomb made of TNT appeared to have been the cause of the explosion.

Ambulances lined up outside the church in the capital’s Abbasiya district to evacuate the dead and wounded.

A crowd gathered outside the church chanting: “Tell the sheikh, tell the priest, Egyptians’ blood is not cheap”.

There was no claim of responsibility for the attack, but jihadists in Sinai have targeted Christians before, as well as Muslims they accuse of working with the government.

Cathedral worker Attiya Mahrous, who rushed to the chapel after he heard the blast, said: “I found bodies, many of them women, lying on the pews. It was a horrible scene.”

Another eyewitness Mariam Shenouda said: “Everyone was in a state of shock. There were children. What have they done to deserve this? I wish I had died with them instead of seeing these scenes.”

This is another appalling and senseless attack and as it looks like one that it everything to do with Islam, no amount of posturing or fake tears by Islamic clerics or dishonest utterances about it being ‘nothing to do with Islam’ will change that. There is of course the very slim chance that this could be an attack carred out by those completely unconnected to the Islamic death cult, but it’s a very slim chance. In fact the odds of this being anything other than the latest episode of Islamic savagery are probably longer than you’d get for Dawn French to beat Usain Bolt in the 100 metres.

Egypt used to be one of the world’s major centres for Christianity, but Islam has put paid to that like it puts paid to religious tolerance in just about every place this disgusting ideology sets up shop. This intolerant Islamic death-cult has ensured that Christians are consistently discriminated against in Egypt and has over the centuries turned Egypt from a place where Christians were in the majority to one where they are a hard pressed minority.

I grieve for those innocents who died in this latest horrendous attack, an attack that is likely to have EVERYTHING to do with Islam.
