As this particular feature on the benighted land of Pakistan has made clear on a number of occasions, Pakistan is a terrible and indeed lethal place to be a non Muslim. Beatings, murders, social exclusion and whole host of other oppressions are regularly the lot of Pakistan’s Christians, Hindus, Sikhs etc. Now we have to add the horrific bombing of Christians starting their Christmas festivities to the lengthening list of horrors that followers of minority religions in Pakistan have to deal with.
According to a report from Reuters, a two suicide bombers stormed into a packed church and set off their devices leaving at least 9 Christians dead and over 56 injured. The reason for this appalling act of mass murder is pretty clear, the Christians were murdered purely for being Christians in a Muslim land.

Two suicide bombers stormed a packed Christian church in southwestern Pakistan on Sunday, killing at least nine people and wounding up to 56, officials said, in the latest attack claimed by Islamic State in the country.
Police guards stationed at the church entrance and on its roof killed one of the bombers but the second attacker detonated his explosives-filled vest outside its prayer hall just after Sunday services began in Quetta, capital of Baluchistan province, said Sarfraz Bugti, the provincial home minister.
Reuters said that the death toll could have been much higher had the bombers been able to get to the church’s sanctuary where over 400 people were attending a pre Christmas service at the Bethel Memorial Methodist Church. Such a horror does not bear thinking about but it is what these savage suicide bombers were intending to do. Pakistan is a country founded on a death cult called Islam and there can be no greater indication of that than this appalling and senseless bombing of peaceful Christians celebrating Christmas. Maybe those Western Christian clerics who fall over themselves to say that Islam is a religion of peace should look at Pakistan and speak to Pakistani Christians before they utter such stupid and baseless statements. There is no peace for Christians in Pakistan and there is no peace because of Islam and its influence on Pakistani culture and Pakistani politics.
