Muslims intimidating Christians in Ilford, Essex

I’ve written extensively (search ‘Redbridge’) on this blog about the highly negative changes that have been wrought on the London Borough of Redbridge and its citizens by the growth of Islam in that area. Islam has turned an area that was once a place that people aspired to live in and where locals said contained ‘more Jews than Tel Aviv’ into an increasingly frightening and dangerous shariah shithole. Mosques have sprung up all over the place, community buildings have been seized by subterfuge by Islamic groups and turned into mosques, extremist Islamic schools are operating and street crime, including rapes have mushroomed. The once solid and safe Jewish community has also suffered with some Jewish women feeling unsafe when walking round the Redbridge area since demographic changes have increased the number of the followers of Islam.

Ilford, the seat of local government in Redbridge used to be a great place to shop, go out for a pint and had a lot of vibrant local nightlife. Ilford was where you went when you wanted to do some serious clubbing.

Now it seems Ilford has changed and really not for the better. Like other places where Islam has taken root I find now that Ilford is a place where you have to look over your shoulder almost as much as you would in other Islam dominated places like Newham or Tower Hamlets. Islam, as local residents are finding out, is making Ilford and indeed the rest of Redbridge less safe, less happy, less cohesive and generally a less nice place to live than it used to be.

One group that is finding the situation in Redbridge less than conducive to their lives and families are the Christians and in particular the Pakistani Christians who are suffering intimidation by Muslims including the sort outlined below by the British Pakistani Christian Association. Christians decided to run a Christmas stall in Ilford town centre, they applied to the local council for a permit for their activities which was granted, but a short while after they set up the stall in Ilford on the 16th December 2017 those at the stall and around it were disturbed by calls of ‘Allah hu akbar’ and other Islamic calls to prayer coming from a PA system.

Here’s part of a piece on what looks very much like deliberate Islamic intimidation from the website of the British Pakistani Christian Association.

The BPCA said:

While Christians celebrated the birth of Christ in Ilford Town Centre on Saturday 16th December 2017, after having applied for permission with Redbridge Facilities Management Department for a Christmas celebration, a local Islamic group caused a panic by playing the Azan (a Muslim chant used for call of prayer), that triggered fears of an impending terrorist attack.

The peaceful family event which was held in Ilford Town centre on Saturday was organised by 9 local churches in collaboration, and was both well attended and appreciated by local residents (click here).  However at around 2pm during a prayer that was being said on the stage, a guttural Muslim chant was heard causing alarm to the many Christians and non-Christians attending the event.

It was soon established that a local Muslim group had decided to hold a religious stall in the town centre at the same time as the Redbridge Christian festival, if not in spite of it.

When approached by the British Pakistani Christian Association, event organisers of the Christian event the Islamic group refused to stop the chant being played.  However, the provocative use of amplified Muslim chanting offended other local people many who were non-Christian and included local Muslims.  Despite a clear indication that their use of an unauthorised PA was causing offence the Muslim group continued their use of the equipment.

When asked if they had sought permission for their event through the council the Islamic group originally said yes.  They then later asked Mr Wilson Chowdhry Chairman of the British Pakistani Christian Association, who was managing the collaborative Christian event, if he was from the council.  After Mr Chowdhry explained that he was not a Council officer but had applied for permission to use a PA system in the town centre the Islamic group ignored any further conversation.  Left with no further option Mr Chowdhry then duly contacted the local Police.

It would seem bizarre but not impossible that the council gave permission to the Islamic group to hold their stall and amplified Muslim prayers at the same time as the local Churches Christmas event. So this morning Wilson Chowdhry sought clarification from the Head of Licensing for Redbridge Council MR Ed Chaplin.

The piece then went on to detail Mr Chowdhury’s correspondence with Redbridge Council about the incident along with a description of how the Islamic stall was not shut down by police but how the Muslims merely turned down the volume a bit on the PA system. I must admit that it doesn’t seem likely that the council would licence both a Christian group and a Muslim group to have stalls on the same day and same place. This leads me to believe that the Muslim group may have turned up unlicensed in order to deliberately intimidate the Christians, especially the Pakistani ones.

What we are seeing in Redbridge is living proof of the claim that as the amount of Islam rises in an area, so conversely does the quality of life for non Muslims decrease, in some cases very rapidly. Although I concur with Mr Chowdhury in his sentiments that not all Muslims are terrorists or wish to enslave or oppress non Muslims, there do seem to be a lot of Muslims in the Redbridge area who are extreme and do wish to oppress non Muslims. As Islam has grown in this borough life has got worse for Christians, Jews, Hindus and Sikhs. This incident is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Islamic intimidation of non Muslims and as the amount of Islam increases in Redbridge I can only predict that things will end up going from bad to worse until all or nearly all the non Muslims leave for safer and less Islamic areas.
