On the putting back of Tommy Robinson’s retrial

Tommy Robinson

There has been an awful lot of comment made online about the moving back of Tommy Robinson’s retrial to the 27th September from the original date of September 4th. This has especially the case since Ezra Levant put out a ‘shock horror’ type video about the moving back of the case. A lot of this comment has seemed to me to be a bit hyperbolic and I was delighted to find that the YouTuber who goes by the moniker Politico, has a very sober assessment of this development. Politico calmly and logically examines the putting back at the case and his assessment leans more towards cock up, something we could expect from the Crown Prosecution Service.

According to Politico, the CPS has not produced the information that was required by and apparently asked for by the defence team and because of that the Judge who will be handling Mr Robinson’s case, The Recorder of London, Nicholas Hilliard QC has decided to put the case back.

I agree with Politico that this setting back could be good for Tommy Robinson as it gives his team more time to defence team to be more than ready and it also allows Mr Robinson more recovery time before his trial.

Here’s the excellent video with Politico’s assessment of this case.
