How much would you be willing to bet that the Metropolitan Police will end up pandering to this latest Islamist ‘Palestine convoy’?

Yeah right! Time for the Met to concentrate on all the violence in London not some presumably iffy 'hate speech' 'offence'

I understand that a similar Islamist ‘Palestine’ convoy to the one which contained Muslims shouting ‘Fuck the Jews, rape their daughters’, is going to be travelling on Saturday from Bradford, via Sheffield and Leicester to London. The Metropolitan Police have, according to a report over at the New English Review, issued a mealy mouthed statement saying that they are ‘aware’ of this convoy and are currently ‘gathering intelligence’.

Being aware of this convoy of Islamists and gathering intelligence on it, which the Met are doing, valuable as such activities may well be, doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence that the Met will do anything to stop the members of this convoy harassing Jews. I certainly would not bet money on the Met actually doing anything to prevent Jew hate being expressed by those on this convoy. Whereas the Met would have no hesitation in going in heavy to a demonstration which contained elements who would have incited violence against Muslims, intimidated Muslims, or had nutcases within it that were chanting ‘kill Muslims’. I doubt very much that the Met would act with the same lack of hesitation or vigor with regards this Islamist convoy. I suspect that as per usual, the Met will handle this convoy of Islamists, for that is what they seem to be, with kid gloves.

I’d be absolutely delighted to be proven wrong with my prediction. The sight of Met officers kicking seven bells out of Jihad adjacent Jew haters or robustly turning them back to Bradford would not only be welcomed by many British Jews but also I believe by the public as a whole who would welcome some sign that the Met has not wholly sold its soul to the concept of Islamopandering. We shall have to wait and see whether the Met grow some balls and face down these Islamists.

The New English Review article states that the Community Security Trust, the voluntary body that provides security and offers security advice to Britain’s Jews are working with the police over the matter of the Islamist convoy. The CST said: “We are aware of this proposed convoy and we will be discussing it urgently with police, with a particular focus on the routes they may be planning to take into central London. It appears to be by the same organisers as the notorious convoy from last month and we cannot have a repeat of the appalling intimidation and abuse of the Jewish community that we saw on that occasion.”

Reading between the lines of the CST’s statement it looks as if their major concern is whether the Islamist convoy will travel through heavily Jewish areas of North West London and Hertfordshire on its way to central London. If this Islamist convoy is run by the same mob then it’s likely that they will want to take such a route through North West London/Herts as they know that doing what they did last time got them so much publicity and satisfies the Islamic drive to hate Jews. The big question for me is: Will the police let them do this? Based on past performance it’s likely that the Met will let the Islamist convoy do their stuff and deal with or bat away the complaints from London’s Jews later, after that is the path of least resistance for the Met. However it could be the case that the Met grows some balls and actually counters an Islamist event for a change.

I have great respect for the ordinary volunteers from the CST who guard synagogues and other Jewish communal assets. On the other hand I have a decreasing degree of respect for the management of the CST. This management appear to be very good at cosying up to Islamic groups that love censorship of debate and spending money that could be spent on Jewish security instead being spend on security for Islamic venues and having lots of possibly pointless meetings with police and others. Unfortunately, whilst the general standard of front line CST volunteers appears to be very good the same cannot be said about CST’s management and liaison activities with police and politicians, which doesn’t seem to lead to an situation where Britain’s Jews are any safer from Islamist Jew haters than they would be without the CST’s involvement.

We shall see on Saturday whether or not the Met pull their fingers out and deal appropriately and robustly with this Islamist convoy. If they don’t then there will be a whole lot more British Jews who will become more distrustful of the police and maybe also worrying whether there is a future for Jews in a Britain where both police and politicians seem to be disgustingly eager to pander to groups that want Jews dead.
