It’s not just a failing healthcare system, it’s a cult.

Britain is increasingly becoming a moderately shite healthcare system with a nation attached. I can think of no other way to describe what my country has turned into when the BBC’s flagship current affairs programme Newsnight, wheels out a children’s choir to sing ‘happy birthday’ to the National Health Service.

The video, embedded below, is nothing more than monstrous and dishonest propaganda for a healthcare system that is most definitely not the ‘envy of the world’. It’s like something that would be broadcast on the television services of North Korea or propaganda that Josef Stalin would have loved to have put out, if television was a thing, which is was not, during the Stalinist period of the Soviet Union. It’s certainly NOT something that we should be seeing from a broadcaster, like the BBC, that has a remit and a duty to be duly impartial.

Although it might have been the intention of the Newsnight production team that this ‘Stalin-clap’ choir of children to make viewers feel good about Britain’s failing NHS, when I saw it I just wanted to vomit. This is because what we have here is an ideologically corrupted state run broadcaster using kids to sing the praises of a poorly run state controlled healthcare system. It’s the sort of thing that you’d see on the airwaves of a banana republic which is about the level that Britain has fallen to, but without the benefit of the sort of climate where we are able to grow bananas. NHS worship is now little more than a deluded cult and shame on the BBC for deciding to give this cult airtime.
