From Elsewhere – Momus Najami, a writer worth reading

I first came across Mr Najami and his writing a while back on social media but I’ve only just discovered his blog and it is fascinating and worthwhile to read or at least I think so. Mr Najami was born in Kuwait in the mid 1980’s but moved to Pakistan as a teenager. From what I’ve seen of his writing I can tell that Mr Najami is a man who is thoughtful and considered in his words and although I probably would not ascribe to all his views there’s some stuff that he’s written that has caught my eye and is relevant to the current situation Britain finds itself in.

One item in particular I’d like to share with you is his piece on how local government and similar entities have been infiltrated by far left and Islamist elements.

Here’s part of his piece entitled ‘What is going on in the local authorities and other public institutions?’

Mr Najami said:

All local authorities in London are filled with people who hate this country and have bought into an alternative reality. Over the covid period, this spilled over to the neighbouring councils as well, as many Londoners moved in those counties and started working in the councils.

This is a serious problem. Because Local Authorities virtually go unnoticed. And the turnout for local elections remain very low. Yet they are the ones making decisions that impact our day to day life the most. The local councils aren’t just being difficult, they have been increasing red tapes to frustrate the system for years. And they have been infiltrated deep with Marxist ideology.

Please go and read the entirety of Mr Najami’s piece as I believe, based on my experiences with councils and from observing them, that he is correct about what has gone wrong in local government and the future dangers this could cause.
