We in the West have become all too used to stories of Jihadists entering undefended places like pop concerts, bars, schools, colleges and public transport facilities and murdering innocent people at will. Too often we have seen situations where people, frozen by fear and lack of experience of the horror that terrorism can bring, killed en masse by savages shouting ‘allah hu akbar’. In Britain we’ve seen it in London on the public transport system, at Manchester Arena and in two attacks in the vicinity of London Bridge. In France savage Jihadists have murdered scores of people at the Batalan venue and on the streets of Nice and these Jihadists have made traditional Christmas markets in Germany a place of fear instead of a place of enjoyment.

The shock of being caught up in a terrorist attack can often hinder people brought up in a civilised society from taking action to protect themselves or others from the depredations brought by Islam addled uncivilised savages. Occasionally there are one or two people in these situations, such as during the London Bridge I and II attacks and the attempted attack on an airport in Scotland who have the nous to fight back, but in Britain at least these fightbacks are less in number than the number of dead bodies that the jihadists have piled up.

However in other countries and in other situations the jihadists don’t get to kill at will and the death tolls of the attacks are less than they might have been because those whom the jihadist is targeting fight back and fight back hard.

A recent attack by a known jihadist on a university in Virginia was one of those where the potential targets didn’t freeze, they didn’t panic, they didn’t cower, instead those whom the jihadists wanted to kill fought back. The result of this fight back was only one innocent person died whilst the jihadist was stabbed and beaten to death.

Here’s what happened. According to WAVY, a broadcasting station in Virginia, USA, a known Jihadi, Mohamed Jalloh, entered a building on the campus of Old Dominion University on March 12^th and made his way to a classroom where some students who were military officer training cadets were being taught. The jihadi savage Jalloh shot dead the tutor, Lt Col Brandon Shah and injured two others.

This attack could have ended up as a mass murder as so many other jihad attacks have been but the students caught up in this incident had other ideas. Apparently they rushed the attacker, who had prior convictions for Islamic terrorist activity and beat and stabbed him multiple times until the Islamic savage expired. I don’t know what sort of knife was used but I would assume that it was some sort of pocket knife rather than a machete or a panga but even a small knife turned out to be useful when confronted with this jihadi savage. This knife may have been the only weapon available to use against this savage as many US higher education environments are gun free zones.

Whilst it is terrible that Lt Col Shah has been murdered by this savage and several other people are injured, this attack may have been far far worse if the students had not had the presence of mind and the bravery to take this savage on and take him out. These students saw the attack on Lt Col Shah and heard the savage’s war cry of ‘Allah hu Akbar’ and immediately knew what they were up against and acted accordingly and in my view correctly.

There is a lesson here for everyone. When faced with a jihadi savage, that jihadi savage needs to be taken down as soon as possible and taken down by whoever has the ability and the guts to do so. If these students had not acted in the way that they did and had instead sat and waited for the police or the Virginia National Guard to show up then they all could have been murdered by this savage. The students who killed this savage have saved many many lives.

May Lt Col Shah’s memory be for a blessing and may the students who erased this savage from the planet never have to put their hands in their pockets to buy a beer ever again.
