I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all this blog’s many Jewish readers a very happy and kosher Passover. From sunset tonight and for the next eight days we remember the escape, that occurred thousands of years ago, from servitude under the Egyptian Pharaoh and the miracles that made that escape possible, including the temporary pedestrianisation of the Red Sea.
For many of us it’s going to be a period of no bread or anything at all that could be considered as ‘leaven’ so no beer, no cakes, no pasta and lots and lots of potatoes and tapioca.
I hope if you do celebrate that you all have a wonderful Passover and I’ll be properly back on Saturday night when the Yom Tov period of two days with no work (or any thing that Jewish law considers to be work) is over.
Have a good one.
