Israel’s fight is everybody’s fight.

Israel’s fight against the savage jihadists of Hamas, is not her fight alone. It is all our fights. Israel’s struggle against the Islamic forces that would destroy it, is not purely the concern of Israelis or even Jews, it is a fight that concerns all of us whether we are Jewish, Christian, Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist. It even matters to atheists and agnostics, in fact it matters to anybody who is currently or in the future likely to be a victim of Islam.

This is because Israel’s struggle against the bestial forces of Islam is the same fight that concerns all of us. We cannot write off the fight to the death that is going on in the Middle East as a faraway fight that means nothing to the non-participants, because as all realists know, the forces of Islam will not stop with conquering Jerusalem and murdering its Jewish and Christian inhabitants. They will then turn on everyone else. There is an Islamic saying that ‘after we kill the Saturday people (the Jews) then we’ll kill the Sunday people (the Christians)’. Islamic jihadists are already slaughtering and displacing Iraqi and Syrian Christians on a monstrous scale and it does not take much imagination by those of us who know Islam, to imagine such slaughters and displacements happening in our own countries. Jews are fleeing France as Muslims burn synagogues and Jewish shops. Today it is synagogues and kosher shops in Paris that burn, tomorrow it could be churches and libraries in Preston or Peterborough that burn. This is Islam in action, it is no different in its violence today than it was in the past.

Islam is violent and Israel, almost alone among the nations, is fighting back, not because it wants to fight back, but because it has no alternative but to fight back. Israel is a dynamic and modern civilised nation but even for Israel the social and fiscal cost imposed on it because it needs to defend its people from Islamic savagery is very high. However, the price for not combating Islamic savagery would be even greater. Israel wants to live in peace with its neighbours but unfortunately the neighbours do not want to live in peace with Israel.

Stand with Israel, because if you are standing with Israel then you are standing with the forces of civilisation and law and morality. If you stand with the forces of Islam, then you are standing with the forces of death and dispossession.

No matter who we are, as long as we believe in freedom and justice, we all have a stake in the fight between Israel and Hamas and the rest of the Islamic terror groups and we should never forget that.

Hamas need to be utterly wiped out to guarantee freedom not just for Israelis, but for the average Arab who has suffered greatly under the misrule of Hamas as well.
