On the response to the Orlando attack

ORLANDO, FL - JUNE 12: FBI agents investigate the damaged rear wall of the Pulse Nightclub where Omar Mateen allegedly killed at least 50 people on June 12, 2016 in Orlando, Florida. The mass shooting killed at least 50 people and injured 53 others in what is the deadliest mass shooting in the country's history. (Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images)

The continual Islamic attacks on free nations seem to follow a depressingly familiar pattern, especially in the aftermath. First there is the shock, then comes the various vigils and public emotionalism. Next comes various small groupuscules of the far Left. Along with them, various mendacious Islamic groups and individuals pop up making desperate, and often desperately dishonest, attempts at deflecting criticism of Islam.

We’ve seen worldwide examples of prayer vigils and candlelighting ceremonies following Orlando just as we saw similar events following Brussels, Bataclan, Charlie Hebdo, San Bernardino and a whole host of other Islamic attacks. I’ve come to the conclusion that such events are examples of empty, public emotionalism that do the square root of bugger all to deal with the heart of the problem and the problem is Islam. Those buying candles to burn at these seemingly never ending series of vigils following Islamic attacks may be better off spending their money on self protection equipment or donating the money to the growing number of non-racist groups who are campaigning against the ideology of Islam. I don’t know about you but I’d rather buy someone a metaphorical bullet that’s maybe going to stop a Muslim killer, than spend money on yet another candle following yet another Islamic attack.

Just as was the case following other Islamic attacks we’ve seen the vigils and we’ve also started to see the far Left exploiting them. Brietbart has a gobsmacking series of photographs of the vigil in London’s Old Compton Street, the city’s gay centre, showing various shades of lunatic naïve left winger carrying banners that decry ‘hate’ or ‘militarism’, but failing completely to name the source of that hate, which is Islam. What the Brietbart photographers saw in Old Compton Street was the LGBT Left hijacking this event in order to push their ill thought out and dangerous socialist and hug a Muslim views. Such people are a danger to ordinary LGB and T people because of their outrageous naivety when it comes to Islam.

It seems that the mendacious grievance mongering Taqiyya artists of Tell Mama have worked hard to not be left out of the vomit inducing pointless virtue signalling and political advantage taking that has followed this, as in other, Islamic attacks. The Tell Mama timeline appears to be stuffed full of tweets from either themselves or other front groups run by their founder Fiyaz Mughal, decrying a vague idea of ‘hate’ or moaning about ‘Islamophobia’, or making an attempt to deny the Islamic legitimacy of Islamic State. Also on there are foolish gay MP’s such as Wes Streeting of Ilford North. Streeting is a fool who seems to think that being elected by the whipped Mosque vote means that Muslims may not want him dead. What a totally naïve tosser that man is.

So far the response following the Orlando massacre has been all too wearily similar to the response after previous attacks. It’s been pointless vigils, lying Muslim groups and idiot Lefties all doing the dance of deadly denial about the dangers we face from Islam. Oh how I wish, how I pray, that there was a different response following atrocities like these. I wish the candlelighters would wake up to the danger we all face and do something of practical benefit to oppose this violent and destructive enemy. I wish that no more attention was paid by those who should know better to those like Tell Mama who are more Islam promoters than anything else, no matter how much the publicly emote about anti-Semitism of Homophobia. I wish the left would keep their tiny, barely supported Lefty causes away from those who may be grieving, that those like Wes Streeting engaged his brain before opening his mouth.

Most of all I wish that following the next attack, and without a doubt there will be one, we don’t see this similar, defeatist pattern we’ve seen before. I hope that we see people cease their tears, gird their loins and fight this disgusting, deadly, violent ideology of Islam. I would prefer that people fought this pernicious threat through the ballot box, but sadly I forsee that it will take much more than that to keep the Islamic wolf from all our doors. We must not merely cry at what Islam does to us, we must fight it before it destroys us and the nations and cultures that we have all had a part in building.

I’d like to end this peice by quoting from campaigners for AIDS research and treatment and an end to discrimination against those who were HIV+ from the 1980/90’s.  They said ‘Silence Equals Death’ as people needed to speak up about HIV in order to  encourage research into treatments and an acceptance of those with HIV.  This slogan could just as well apply to the ideology of Islam as it does to the AIDS virus.  If we are silent about Islam then Islam will bring about our deaths.  Therefore we need to speak about Islam because it is just as deadly as any virus or infection.  Islam kills, it’s what it does, which is why we must speak up against it.

Prayer vigils, candle ceremonies, emotionalism…virtue signalling, like the hajis give a shit.
    Be honest,…displacement, denial, Stockholm syndrome.
You can do it again after the next “nothing to do with Islam” atrocity.

Agree. It’s all displacement activity and people lying to themselves about Islam. What is needed is not pointless prayers, but harsh action against the savagery of Islam.

  2. Awesome, awesome article… It mirrors everything I feel. (English Still here…EXACTLY!)
