I’m unsure as to the provenance of this particular story but if it is true then it is good news for civilisation and very bad news for the Muslim Brotherhood. It will also be bad news for the Hamas-linked Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and for Tell Mama the disgraced British ‘Islamophobia’ monitor, who for a long while carried a ‘news feed’ from CAIR on their website until they were heavily criticised for doing so.

According to rumours which have been published on the Israel Matsav website, President-Elect Donald J Trump’s advisors on Middle East policy are recommending that the new US President classify the Muslim Brotherhood as a proscribed terrorist organisation. If that is the case then it will not only put pressure on the Muslim Brotherhood itself, but will also affect its surrogates, affiliates fellow-travellers and supporters. This will impact on the ability of groups like CAIR in the United States to operate and also their ability to subvert the law and politics. CAIR’s fellow-travellers and those who have published pieces supportive or uncritical of CAIR such as the aforementioned Tell Mama organisation are also going to be discomforted. By running pro-CAIR pieces or accepting CAIR statements as 100% truth groups like Tell Mama will be in the political firing line because they will be seen to be being supportive of a group that is not only linked with the genocide promoters of Hamas who are a mere one step away from a hopefully proscribed Muslim Brotherhood.

If the rumours of a possible proscription of the Muslim Brotherhood by the new US President are correct then it is an act that is going to have a widespread and very positive impact. It will not only cause problems for the Islamists in the United States but also around the world as other governments start to treat the Muslim Brotherhood in a similar way.

This morning, he quotes Trump adviser Walid Phares as saying that President Elect Donald Trump intends to designate Hamas’ parent group, the Muslim Brotherhood, a terror organization.

Being a designated terrorist organization would severely restrict the Muslim Brotherhood’s ability to operate in the US and abroad and is a step that is way overdue, but would never happen under an Obama administration. If this turns out to be true, it’s great news.

My how times have changed.

Times are indeed a changing. The Obama regime didn’t do nearly enough to tackle the problem of Islamism or the problems of Islamic influence in the politics of civilised societies. Banning the Muslim Brotherhood will be of great benefit for all. It will help to prevent their sedition within the USA, adversely affect their surrogates, supporters and fellow-travellers both within the US and throughout the world.

Curtailing or restricting the activies of the Muslim Brotherhood will not on its own win the battle between freedom and Islam, but it should certainly be welcomed necessary first step on the road to a proper defence of civilisation against the ravages of Islam.
