Another day, another mosque, another accusation of extremism and jihad promotion.

Undertake, if you will, a small thought experiment? Sit down, and dig into the recesses of your memories for any information that you may have about any incident in your lifetime where the places of worship of either Christians or Jews were found to be promoting violent extremism. Nope, me neither. I cannot think of an occasion in recent decades when, in peacetime, either churches or synagogues were found to be training people to promote violence and hatred against others of different belief systems. It would be almost unthinkable for the followers and leaders of either the Jews or the Christians to promote such extremism and violence to others. It is not what these religious paths are in today’s world.

However, when it comes to Islam, things are radically different. There is a long and ignominious history of Islamic places of worship being associated with extremism or the promotion of Jihad. Time and again, mosques in the United Kingdom and across the world have been exposed as hosting fanatical violence-preaching Islamic clerics, or having material on their premises that encourages violence against non-Muslims and which is available for the public.

Now, according to an article that I saw on the Brussels Times site and found via ‘The Religion of Peace‘ website, it is the turn of the Belgian city of Brussels to discover that their followers of the ‘religion of peace’ are not exactly promoting peace with their teaching materials.

The Brussels Times said:

The training of imams, delivered in Arabic, within the Islamic and Cultural Centre of Belgium (known as “the CICB”), which houses the Grand Mosque of Brussels, is currently inciting followers to enter into armed jihad.

They are also being encouraged to persecute homosexuals and to hold anti-Semitic views. The conclusions emerged in a report by the Coordination Unit for Threat Analysis (“OCAM”), exposed on Wednesday in La Libre, DH, the Sudpresse publications and De Standaard, as well as the RTL-TVI television channel.

This is the sort of violent hatred that is a threat to the lives and safety of the citizens of European nations. It is being taught not just in this Saudi-funded mosque, but in other mosques across the continent.

The Brussels Times added:

The OCAM says that the report, being around 40 pages, in particular details the contents of training manuals, one of which forms part of educational material around the leadership of Al-Qaeda.

It sounds very much like this mosque is teaching that Al Qaeda are ‘the good guys’. The mosque, which has Saudi funding until 2019, is a target of interest for the Belgian government and after the Saudi funding stops, this mosque will be transferred to a Belgian Muslim umbrella group.

Whether this course of action removes the extremism from this mosque completely remains to be seen, but it is likely that the Belgian government is merely moving the deckchairs on the Titanic, as this transfer will not make the problem of Islam-inspired violent hatred go away. Instead, what is likely to happen is that this mosque will put on a superficial carapace of ‘moderation’, which was the case with London’s Finsbury Park Mosque, whilst still having links with questionable individuals. Even if this mosque does make a show of ‘moderation’ in this way, there are probably plenty of other Belgian mosques, of a lesser public profile, which are likely to be equally or more egregiously nasty as this Grand Mosque.

Citizens of European nations or their governments would never have tolerated extremists from religions like Christianity and Judaism preaching and encouraging, as if they ever would, violence and hatred against others. In any event, such extremism in Christianity and Judaism would be both a a moral aberration and a moral inversion of these faiths’ key values. This is not the case with Islam. Islam’s core scriptures are dominated with hatred for those of differing belief systems, including those of Muslim origin who now reject Islam altogether. This hatred is not just spiritual, but as we have seen via numerous Islamic jihad attacks, it is a driver for actual murderous violence. Up until the Brussels Islamic terror attacks occurred, it seems that the Belgian government let this citadel of hatred and sedition fester unhindered and unchallenged. After the murderous attacks in Belgium, there should be no more tolerance of mosques like this and no more tolerance of those who are so intolerant of the rest of us that they promote jihad against us. Personally I think that this Grand Mosque may be the tip of a very nasty iceberg when it comes to Belgian Islamic extremism and I wonder whether this extremism can be beaten without the horror of large scale civic disorder and bloodshed? As an example, I doubt that the Islamic extremists of Molenbeek would consent without resistance to the Belgian security services dismantling the apparatus of Islamic hatred there. I dread to think what may happen in that circumstance. I hope and pray that bloodshed in this nation is avoided but I am growing increasingly pessimistic that the Islamic fifth column which Belgium has allowed to grow within its borders can be tackled by peaceful political means.

Isn’t it Brussels that has the municipal “Islam Party?” Thus, not surprised.

Belgium certainly has an Islam Party. It is, as we should expect, pro-Sharia Law and distinctly authoritarian. As I said in the article I doubt that this is the only Belgian mosque where extremism is being promulgated.

..or is this Party dispersed throughout Belgium?
