Tommy placed in harms way. Tomorrow it could be any other British dissident in the same position

The gaoling of British human rights campaigner Tommy Robinson, for an offence that would not have elicited such a lengthy 13 month sentence was bad enough, but now things have taken a turn for the worse. Caolan Robertson who has worked with Tommy Robinson for the last 15 months or so has made an appearance on InfoWars to talk about how Mr Robinson was moved from the relatively safe prison at Hull, which Mr Robertson said only contained 2% Muslims, to a prison in the English Midlands which he originally claimed contained 71% Muslims. This 71% figure was an error and was later corrected in a tweet by Raheem Kassam to 20% Muslim, which is still bad enough and not something I would wish on anybody. This will obviously endanger Tommy Robinson’s life, especially as many of these Muslims are likely to be violent and want to do harm to Tommy.

Caolan Robertson told Alex Jones of InfoWars that he was carrying a direct message from Tommy to his supporters and the tale that Mr Robertson told was frightening. According to Mr Robertson, the moment that Tommy Robinson entered the new prison he was told by someone, it is unclear whether this was by an officer or somebody else, that the prison was full of those who hated him. Mr Robertson alleged that Tommy had been put on an open wing rather than in protective solitary confinement. He also said that Tommy was subjected to much hostility in the prison and there was banging on the cell doors all night and shouting in Arabic. He added that Tommy was fearful for his own safety and for Tommy to say that, bearing in mind what he has had to face over the years, should give people some idea of how bad a position Tommy is currently in.

Mr Robertson stressed that he had been asked by Tommy to get the message out to the world about his predicament. It is indeed a terrible position for Tommy to be in and Mr Robinson’s human rights are not being respected or upheld. HM Prison Service would treat a paedophile or a deranged serial killer better than they are treating Tommy Robinson, who we need to remember was given custody for a non-violent offence and should therefore not be incarcerated in a Cat B prison, if the reports of the type of prison he has been sent to are correct.

It is difficult not to take the view that there may be some in government and probably many more among the Left and among our Islamic ‘guests’, who would relish the idea of Tommy Robinson being murdered in prison. The Left and the Islamics would see it as some sort of twisted victory and the Government would feel that a major irritant and a challenge to their political narratives would have finally been removed. However, if such a murder did occur, and I pray to the Eternal One that it does not, both the Left and the Islamics could find their ‘victory’ short lived as they increasingly become targets of general public disgust and hatred because of their gloating.

If there is governmental involvement in this gaol transfer undertaken in the hope that Tommy Robinson can be neutralised, then this is a major and critical mistake. The Government have been taken very much by surprise by the strength of public feeling that has burst out over the gaoling of Mr Robinson. You could see that surprise in the faces of police officers in the videos of the recent ‘Free Tommy’ protests. They expected a few hundred people, but instead were faced with thousands of people from all walks of life for whom the imprisonment of Tommy Robinson was the catalyst to get them onto the streets to protest not just for Tommy’s release but also about the depredation that Islam has wrought onto once peaceful and cohesive areas. If things are febrile at the moment just over the issue of Tommy Robinson’s imprisonment, just how bad will things get if anything happens to Tommy? There won’t just be protests in London in their tens of thousands there will be protests anywhere there are people gathered who are angry at Tommy’s case and the government appearing to favour Islam over and above all else. Like any normal sensible and moral person, I have no wish to see the sort of violence that could break out if things turn pear shaped, but the tension is quite palpable at the moment and can be quite easily turned down by the Govt by releasing Tommy Robinson from prison and letting Britons have an honest conversation about Islam, even if that mortally offends some Muslims.

At present, we are, to use an American War of Independence analogy, at the stage of chucking the tea in Boston harbour and like then as today, it is incumbent on Her Majesty’s government to stop this ending up at the ‘Lexington’ stage. Personally I’d rather we stayed at the talking and chucking tea into the harbour point, a state of affairs which can be sustained by giving Britons back their freedom to criticise and express hostility to an ideology that is implacably hostile to us. I want to avoid if at all possible the road to ‘Lexington’.

There is much criticism online of Sajid Javid the Home Secretary. Many suspect that it has been the Home Secretary’s involvement in this case that not only was behind the blatantly political arrest of Tommy Robinson, but who is also being accused online, by the likes of Raheem Kasaam, of having a hand in this prison transfer. If that is the truth of the situation then it strengthens the accusation against the Government that they do indeed wish Tommy Robinson harm. If this course of action has been Government policy then they should be careful what they wish for. A Tommy Robinson on the outside and campaigning is a big enough problem for those who wish to protect Islam from criticism and paper over the social cracks wrought by multiculturalism, just think how much worse things could be if the Government by accident or design, create a martyr?

We’ve been here before on these Islands, but in a different conflict, The Irish Troubles. I can remember back to the stories of the Sinn Fein hunger strikers who resented the removal of a prison status akin to political prisoner and refused food. The Prime Minister at the time Margaret Thatcher, drew a line in the sand and did not concede to the hunger strikers and thereby created martyrs to inspire more men of violence and more violent acts. I have no wish to see things go down that road again. Baroness Thatcher, a woman who I now otherwise admire, might have managed to lessen the danger from Sinn Fein/IRA and turn down tensions by following a path other than intransigence.

It seems to be the path of intransigence that HM Government has put its feet on in the case of Tommy Robinson’s imprisonment and endangerment and this may have counterproductive results in Britain just as such a policy from Baroness Thatcher was counterproductive in the story of the Irish Troubles. As well as Tommy Robinson being placed in some danger in his current prison, this story also has within it the seeds of a political scandal. If, as some say, Sajid Javid, has had a hand in Tommy Robinson’s prison move, then to interfere in a matter that is the responsibility of the Ministry of Justice looks a lot like arrogant overreach on the part of Javid. The movement of prisoners and their categorising is normally an operational matter for the relevant section of the Ministry of Justice and is not under the purview of the Home Secretary. Javid, if he is responsible for Tommy’s move, would therefore be interfering with a matter that should be the responsibility of another minister. Javid has hobnobbed and dished out oddles of public cash to various Islamic groups and individuals whilst he was at the Department of Communities and Local Government and now that he has moved to the Home Office it does make me wonder just who has Sajid Javid’s ear? Was this decision influenced by some skanky Islamic group or similar that he may have associated with whilst at the DCLG, or it could be just the Government panicking when the realise the extent of the anger that is brewing in this country and which has been focussed on Tommy Robinson? Either way, we are now in a situation where a lot of people are looking at the treatment of Tommy Robinson and thinking ‘If they can take a way his human rights then government can take away mine’. By putting Tommy Robinson in danger the prison authorities and the Government has greatly increased the number of people who are angry and willing to protest.

I was pleased to hear from Caolan Robertson that a new legal team has been appointed for Tommy Robinson and it appears that legal steps are being taken to challenge his imprisonment. In the InfoWars video Mr Robertson called for people to contribute to Tommy’s legal fund as, unlike the various hate filled Islamic scroats who appear in our courts on jihad charges, he isn’t eligible for legal aid.

We need to fight this injustice that has been done to Tommy and against the other injustices that have been done to others, such as the victims of the Islamic Rape Gangs that Tommy has done much to expose. Political pressure must be kept up on both Sajid Javid and the Prisons Minister the Rt Hon David Gauke MP. It is these departments that seem to have the dirtiest hands in this mess and it is these ministers who should be called to publicly account for themselves and the actions of their departments. This should include accounting for all advice received on this matter whether internally from Civil Servants or from individuals and entities outside the departments involved or connected to this case. Finally, we need to keep on peacefully protesting for Tommy’s release and for the return of our freedoms, freedoms that have been stolen from us. We also need while protesting, to remind those in government that their seat at the tables of power ultimately depend in our political system on us disgruntled subjects at the gates, and most importantly disgruntled subjects at the Polling Stations come election time.
