An interesting point of view on the Tommy Robinson situation from the Reverend Sideways

The Rev Simon Sideways the political commentator

For those who are concerned about the safety of Mr Tommy Robinson and who are also angry about his incarceration, here some interesting words of advice from the political commentator the Rev Simon ?Sideways. In this video, the Rev speaks critically of some of the hyperbole that has been distributed around the web, especially that following the transfer of Mr Robinson from Hull Prison.

The Rev also is counselling people to think before they act and to ‘not run round like headless chickens’ and especially not kick off at ordinary rank and file police officers. This is sensible advice. Much of the awful and degrading Islamopandering that our police forces are currently engaged in, is often not the fault of junior officers and almost entirely the doing of senior officers who are the donkeys leading their uniformed lions on the front line. Also, the Rev made the point that acting like arses is not going to do Tommy any good and bad behaviour on the part of Tommy’s supporters may end up making Tommy’s situation worse. The Reverend is saying a similar thing to what I said a while back which is that if we are to fight, then we have to fight smart.

What I found very interesting and thought provoking about the Reverend’s video was his statement that he doesn’t believe that the state wants Tommy dead. He said that maybe some in the State believe that Tommy can be broken or subjected to the sort of excessive and draconian post release conditions as have been imposed on Paul Golding of Britain First. This is certainly a more nuanced view of the situation than some have expressed. I do worry that the state has put Tommy in harms way and this of course should be protested but I agree with Rev that we must think carefully and act appropriately.

Anyway, here’s a link to the video by the Reverend Simon Sideways and it is one that I found gave me much food for thought.
