Does Mrs May look like a Prime Minister or some sort of hostage in this video?

In recent years it has become customary for Prime Ministers to engage in various sorts of virtue signalling when it comes to the major religious festivals celebrated by minority religions. Prime Ministers regularly give out greetings messages at Hindu and Sikh festivals and there is normally a greetings message from the PM at Jewish New Year. I rarely get the feeling that these messages are heartfelt and appear to be written in the most blandest of styles by the PM’s civil servants or special advisers. However, these messages, if aimed at members of peaceful faiths, although they may do little good, certainly do little harm. When I hear of the Jewish New Year message from the PM, my first thought is ‘OK, that’s nice’, but it goes very little deeper than that. I couldn’t really care whether she say’s ‘l’shana tova’ or not, I just want to be left alone to live my life in peace, to pray as I want, eat what I want, say what I want and most importantly, marvel at my young son’s growing ‘Mossad-worthy’ shoe-purloining skills.

However, there occasionally comes along a bit of Prime Ministerial religious virtue-signalling that it is worth commenting on. British Prime Minister Theresa May’s greeting for the end of the Islamic festival of Ramadan stands out as odd. In the video, linked below, the Prime Minister’s demeanour and her smile seem so forced and her mannerisms so awkward that they hint at some form of prime ministerial cognitive dissonance, in this case speaking words that she must know are untrue, but she is saying them anyway. Now I accept that the Prime Minister is not exactly a ‘touchy-feely’ type of personality and may not always look good on camera, but this video is something else. It looks very much like one of those ISIS hostage videos. There was no hint in her demeanour that she was reading something that she at all had any belief in or knowledge about. On this occasion Theresa May tried to play the ‘auto-cutie’ role and failed dismally.

Here’s the video of the Prime Minister looking for all the world that there might be some armed Islamic savage in a balaclava and black jumpsuit hiding just out of sight of the camera. It’s worth viewing this video on Twitter just so that you can see the Britons slagging her off for her appeasement of Islam.

I and others who saw this video wondered if she was in some sort of hostage situation at Number Ten? Was the Prime Minister being forced to read a message prepared by her captors? It was a really awkward performance. She was obviously reading from something that she probably had little input into and maybe even something that she’d only seen a few minutes before. When I got to the end of Mrs May’s Eid video, I half expected the SAS to burst into the room, kill her captors and set her free.

This video also stank of appeasement, a modern day analogue of that famous newsreel film of a another British Prime Minister waving a piece of paper from the tarmac of an aerodrome and declaring that there will be ‘peace in our time’. This video looked like Mrs May was being told to ‘say something nice about Islam and the Muslims’ by her advisers, but her demeanour and her delivery made me wonder if the phrase ‘say something nice about Islam and Muslims was suffixed with the words ‘or else’? What her video has done however is to cause the bile and disgust to rise in the guts of every patriot at the sight of such abject and unnecessary appeasement of the ideology of Islam.

If Mrs May thinks that by going all brown-tongued to Islam and Muslims for Eid will win the Tories the Muslim votes, then she is very much mistaken. The Labour Party has the Islamic vote sewn up to such an extent that Labour are now no longer a party for the British working classes and have become a de facto Islam party.

Finally, in the video Theresa May thanks Muslims for the contributions that they have made to the UK and that is correct, some Muslims have made positive contributions to the UK but, Islam has brought to Britain nothing but grief. The notable and laudable achievements of a few Muslim scientists, doctors or similar does not counterbalance or atone for the growing pile of dead bodies and lengthening list of rape gang victims which is a large part of what Islam has gifted the long suffering subjects of these currently unhappy islands.

While I doubt there’s a balaclava-wearing terrorist pointing a gun at her head, I can well imagine that at the side of the room, there’s a group of muslim civil-servants and “advisers” staring at her in silent contempt while she lies, snivels, and grovels her way through this exercise in self-abasement and national humiliation.
