The Battle or rather the Surrender of Vince Cable Street

Lib Dem leader Vince Cable whose party has picked an Islamic activist who shared David Duke videos to fight a council seat in Tower Hamlets

I’ve long had a distrust of Britain’s Liberal Democrat party. This personal distrust goes back a long way right back to when I voted Lib Dem in a local election on the grounds that the candidate promised that they would stand up to incompetent Labour councillors, only to see him defect to Labour and climb the greasy political pole. I’ve also observed Lib Dem politicians and prospective politicians behave in a particularly Janus-faced manner and attempt to be all things to all men. I’ve also noticed that they promote themselves as being one party with one set of values in local elections and as something completely different when it came to General Elections. I’ve seen Lib Dems put out electoral publicity that is cunningly designed to look like genuine local magazines and we should never forget how Nick Clegg promised to reduce student debt whilst campaigning only to drop the promise when the chance came along to be in government.

Then there are the other aspects of the Lib Dems that are troubling, such as the rabid EU-philia that has seen the party turn from being a general third party in British politics into the party of Remainers, despite Britain voting to leave the EU. There are also big questions about the conduct of senior party members such as David ‘The Jews’ Ward, and Baroness Jenny Tonge of Kew (and Hamas) both anti-Israel screamers, along with Lord Lester who was suspended from the House of Lords for ‘sexual harassment and “corrupt inducement” to sexual relations’.

The Liberal Democrats are a party of shameless opportunists whose policy promises cannot be trusted and whose politicians are often of the sort of character that would give a back street used car dealer a bad name. The Liberal Democrats are these days neither Liberal nor Democratic and I have had to come to the conclusion that if the Lib Dems told me it was raining outside then I’d feel I would have to go and check just in case they were bullshitting me. In my view the Lib Dems are the lowest of the low in British politics but recently the Lib Dems managed to sink even lower.

The Guido Fawkes site has recently carried the story of the Lib Dems new candidate for a council by-election in the heavily Islamised London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Now the Lib Dems could have done the decent thing and picked someone who could have represented everyone from every different group in this diverse borough. Unfortunately they did not. They instead picked Abjol Miah a man connected with the extremism linked East London Mosque and the Islamist group Islamic Forum for Europe and a man who has shared videos of former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.

Guido said:

Miah, who campaigned for Sadiq Khan in 2016, wasn’t very active on Twitter before this year, but one thing he did choose to share was video from former Ku Klux Klan chief David Duke, which attempts to show that Jews, or as he calls them – ‘Zios’, run the world. He even refers to Obama as “Ziobama”.

Miah is an extremist nutcase with strong links to Islamic Forum Europe which in turn is linked to Jamaat e Islaami a South Asian Islamist grouping. Miah has also campaigned for Labour mayoral candidate Sadiq Khan and was a Tower Hamlets Councillor for the Islamic/ Socialist Workers Party vehicle the RESPECT party. He is not the sort of person whom the Liberal Democrats should have anything to do with.

I find it utterly ironic that the Lib Dems could choose a man who is linked to Islamofascism in the form of the Islamic Forum for Europe to fight a council seat in Tower Hamlets of all places. After all, it was in this borough, back in 1936, when local Jews and working class lefties fought to keep Oswald Mosley’s Jew hating blackshirted fascists from marching through what was then a heavily Jewish area. Back then the old Liberal Party, the precursors of today’s Liberal Democrats, opposed fascism and the appeasement of fascism but now it seems that religious fascism, especially of the Islamic kind, is both tolerated and nurtured by the modern Lib Dems. I find it both disgusting and vomit inducing to see the Lib Dems party leader Sir Vince Cable consorting with and being pictured as he is in the image below, with someone like Abjol Miah.

Picture shows Sir Vince Cable (centre) and Abjol Miah (right) pic from Guido Fawkes along with a selection of loony tunes ‘Zionist plot guff below

The frightening question that this picture conjures up for me is this: If the Battle of Cable Street was being fought today, and was fought between a coalition of Jews and non-Jews against Islamic religious fascists, which side would Sir Vince Cable be on? Would he be on the side of those who oppose fascism, as his political forebears did, or would he surrender to the Islamofascists for the tawdry sake of votes and short term political gain? Sadly I don’t think he or his party would fight against the fascists next time. It would not be a Battle of Cable Street but a surrender of Cable Street.

The Lib Dems always surprise me. Just when I think they cannot sink any lower along comes a story that proves me wrong.

Sadly it does indeed. I reckon David LLoyd George and other Liberal Party luminaries of the past must be spinning in their graves at what the Lib Dems have become. They used to oppose appeasement of fascism, were in favour of democracy and a party that supported freedom. Now they are the party of appeasing Islamofascism, the party that supports the unelected government of the EU and a party that no longer can be trusted to protect our freedoms. They are the scum party of mainstream British politics

I have always consuconsithe LibDems to be the whores of politics. They’ll sleep with whoever throws them a few crumbs. Devoid of principles, chameleons skin deep, no principles too sacred to ditch for a few toxic votes. The LibDems motto should read “What you see ain’t what you get”. As for the Jew Hatred, they are only a few points behind Labour and nudging level with truly disgusting “Greens”. I’d have a go at the BNP, except at least they’re honest about being Jew hating anti-israel bastards, while the others pretentious it’s only “anti Zionism”.

Spot on with your assessment of the Lib Dems. I certainly agree with you that when you vote Lib Dems you have no idea what you might be getting. As a party they are as slippery as a Vaseline covered eel. It does look to me as if the Lib Dems are going after the same Jew hatred vote as Labour and the Greens have done. The BNP might be scum but they were honest about being scum, Labour, the Greens and the Lib Dems hide their scummery behind words like anti Zionism.
