Quack, quack gone. Bleach and Turps drinking quack removed from You Tube

Danny 'Sunfruit Dan' Glass. A dangerous quack who encouraged his followers to drink turpentine and bleach

I not normally in favour of censorship as I think that the best way of dealing with idiots, even dangerous ones is to mock them and point out to those who may be following said idiots just exactly why you shouldn’t do what the idiot is suggesting. However, despite my view that bad speech is best countered by more opposing speech, I’m not going to grieve too much over the removal from You Tube of one of the worst Quacks I’ve ever encountered over a long period of going ‘WTF’ at various quacks, charlatans and conspiraloons.

For those who do not know, there is, or rather now was, a very high profile Quack ‘health coach’ going by the name of ‘Sunfruit Dan’ operating on YouTube. Sunfruit Dan, real name Danny Glass from Margate, Kent, is a British hippie and as well as being a complete LOLcow individual is also a pretty dangerous Quack who dispenses advice that does much more harm than good. Many people have quite rightly laughed at this Quack with his strange relationships, no orgasm rules, along with the way that he exploited his dead girlfriend (who perished on a motorcycle badly piloted by Sunfruit Dan himself). However what has raised the most justifiable ire against Sunfruit Dan is his belief that it’s good to drink the poisonous substance Turpentine. Yes, this Quack has been telling his hoardes of deluded followers to drink something that is essentially paint stripper. He’s been promoting the drinking of Turps as some sort of cure all and cure-alls are a very obvious indication of a Quack.

The Turps drinking thing is bad enough when he promotes this dangerous practise to foolish adults, but he’s also been exploiting the parents of children with autistic spectrum disorders in order to get them to feed their children what he calls ‘Miracle Mineral Solution’. Unfortunately for the children whose parents take note of Dan Dan the Quack Medicine Man, this ‘miracle’ supplement is little more than household bleach, Sodium Chlorite. I dread to think what these poor children are going through at the hands of parents who eschew proper medical science and instead take notice of this appalling and dangerous ‘woo peddler’. These children have been forced to drink, or have inserted anally, a substance that really only should be used to clean toilets and floors.

In a video that Sunfruit Dan published, bemoaning the loss of his main You Tube channel, he admitted that the loss of the channel will cost him ‘thousands’ of pounds in lost income. Good. This hippie Quack has exploited the unwary for far too long and the money from adverts and donations has allowed him to live the life of Riley, outside the reach of the British legal system in Thailand.

I despise conspiraloons, flat earthers and those idiots who believe that there’s a Jewish plot to make their Coca-Cola too fizzy. However, I don’t think that they should be censored as it’s better to have these ideas out in the open where they can be challenged and mocked. On the other hand I don’t feel the same way about Sunfruit Dan or those like him as they are dispensing dangerous ‘medical’ advice to those who may not be able to filter the woo from reality. Most conspiraloons are relatively harmless. Alex Jones for instance didn’t warrant banning from social media as most sensible people treated this man as a joke, an entertainer with an act. Banning Jones has given him a cachet that he didn’t have before he was so comprehensively un-personed. But, Sunfruit Dan is a completely different kettle of fish. He profited off of others misery and ignorance to a great degree and has been the subject of a large number of complaints from bodies that advocate for the rights of children with Autism and individuals who are opposed to the sort of dangerous quackery that Danny Glass promotes.

I don’t really care if an individual wants to take part in faith or crystal healing or attend a séance or go on fad diets. That’s up to them if they are adults of sound mind. But when you have the likes of Danny Glass telling people to ingest poisonous substances and telling his viewers and supporters that doing this is good for them, then I do care. Danny Glass is as poisonous as some of the ‘cures’ that he has recommended and although I’m uneasy about his removal from YouTube, I’m not going to kick up a fuss about his banning either. There are better and more appropriate subjects for my sympathy than Danny Glass. Someone, I forget who, once said: ‘Never trust a hippy’ and in Danny Glass we have a hippy that should not only not be trusted, but called out on his quackery.
