It must be getting near Christmas because more Islamic terror plots are coming to light

In Europe, one of the key indicators of when Christmastime is arriving used to be the putting up of decorations, planning celebrations or getting gifts for friends and family. Unfortunately in modern Europe, instead of these peaceful activities, we see the erection of concrete blocks outside shopping centres and markets, armed police on the streets and the timely arrest of those who want to disrupt Christmas celebrations with mass murder. Yes, this is what Christmas in Europe has become because of Islam and Islamic violence.

I awoke this morning to two stories from the Religion of Peace website about Islamic terror plots in two different countries that have been thankfully busted. It should be noted that we do not face anything even remotely similar to the threat of Islam from members of those of faiths other than Islam or from the more atheist and agnostic of Europeans. We don’t for example face gangs of murderous Hindus, Sikhs, Jews or Jains plotting our demise or dreaming of driving trucks into shoppers at Christmas markets. It’s only the followers of Islam that do this.

The first report comes from the Times of Israel and concerns a planned attack on a Christmas market in the Austrian capital Vienna. Austrian police managed to intercept a group of ethnic Chechens living in the country who were planning a ISIS inspired Islamic terror attack on the market. Press reports about these arrests are also stating that this group also had secondary targets in Austria as well as targets in France, Germany and Luxembourg.

Although Austria has so far been spared the sort of mass murder attacks we’ve seen coming from Muslims in the past, it is only a matter of time before this changes. This is because Austria, as the Times of Israel article points out, has become a hotbed of jihadi activity and plotting, with many Muslims in Austria going overseas to join other Islamic terrorists and probably commit atrocities elsewhere.

The second example of how Christmas has become a time to stop Muslims from killing non-Muslims comes from Denmark. In this case the authorities, aided by the assistance of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad, managed to apprehend a bunch of Pakistani Muslims and Muslims born in Denmark, who were preparing a major attack. According to the report in the Algemeiner, twenty two Muslims were arrested and weapons and explosives were seized by the Danish police authorities.

When I read these two stories I shudder. I shudder to think about just how many innocent lives may have been lost had these Muslim terror gangs not been stopped in time. This time the people of these countries have been lucky. They are lucky that they are not dead or grieving their dead, injured or traumatised by yet another violent Islamic attack on a European target. The problem as I see it is that maybe next time or the time after that, the people and the authorities will run out of luck and the violent followers of an equally violent ideology will spill innocent blood in our streets again.

Post World War II Europe was on a path of relative peace, an unusual experience for a continent that has often been wrecked by war. But, because of the stupidity of politicians from all parties who foolishly treated Islam as ‘just another religion’ to be lived alongside in peace, as with Hindus and Jews for example, we now face a great number of security challenges from Islam and its followers.

Europeans now have to have one eye over their shoulder for the errant lorry driven by an Islamic extremist into crowds out doing their Christmas shopping and their ears open to the possiblity of hearing gunshots accompanied by the Islamic war cry of ‘Allah hu Akbar’. There are plenty more Muslims who are radicalising who will take their place at some point in the future among the legions of jihadis. These times the forces of good and the forces of security have stopped two groups of Muslims from killing in the name of their bloodthirsty deity ‘Allah’. The peace we could have had and should have had in Europe has been shattered by an ideological savagery that numerous European Kings, Dukes, Barons, along with their armed forces, did for centuries do battle with in order to keep Europe safe from it.

The knowledge that we have that many individual Muslims are by their nature both peaceful and decent individuals, should not blind us to the nature of the ideology of Islam itself. Islam is indeed a problem that needs to be dealt with by Government and that problem can only be properly dealt with by publicly recognising that Islam the ideology is a grave threat to our societies. Individual Muslims should not be the target here, but the institutions and the theology itself should be treated as the threat they now obviously have become.

Whilst I celebrate the actions of the authorities in Austria, Denmark and Israel for their part in stopping what would have been mass causualty attacks, I also worry about whether or not these authorities will be as successful with the next murderous Islamic terror group or cell that comes into being. The nations mentioned above have been lucky this time but next time they may not be so lucky.
