However bad the jihad problems are for us who reside in the West, they are infinitely worse for those who have the misfortune to live in Africa. For Africans, murder and mass murder at the hands of the more demented followers of Islam is becoming a daily occurrence and is something that is all too ignored by the West.
There seems to be an endless litany of Islam inspired horrors that are engulfing the continent of Africa which are compounding the problems caused by poverty, bad governance and corruption that are suffered by Africa’s people. It’s a sad fact that if I did nothing but write about the pain that jihad is causing to Africa,then I’d probably be writing 24/7, such are the jihad problems that African nations and African people face. I can only bring you stories of some of the horrors that Jihad has wrought in Africa but they are relatively easy to find if you should care to look.
One of the latest of the jihadi horrors to emerge from Africa comes from the Congo where a gang of jihadis murdered a Christian pastor for refusing to convert to Islam. Here’s the report on this latest terrible jihad murder from Jihad Watch that is in turn taking as its source the group International Christian Concern which is an entity that stands up for those Christians that are oppressed in mostly Islamic lands.

Two months ago, an Anglican priest was killed in Eringeti village by members of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), an Islamic rebel group that targets Christians in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. The Rev. Ven. Batsemire Ngulongo Yesse was killed alongside 35 other Christians living in four villages in the West district of Beni. The father of eight was slain when he refused to convert to Islam. International Christian Concern (ICC) met with his family at the border in Bwera district, Uganda.
“We were in our house at the church on January 29, when we heard people walking inside the compound. My husband opened the door and we found that they were a group of men, armed with machetes. They ordered my husband to sit down. We went inside and hid under the bed, but we could hear what they were saying to him. The people introduced themselves as Muslims. They asked the Reverend why he was still pastoring the church and what religion he belonged to. He said we were Anglicans. They told him to convert to Islam if he wanted to live. He declined. Right there, they slew his neck and left. He died on the spot,” said Kapitula Francoise Mbambu, the widow of Rev. Ven. Batsemire Ngulongo Yesse.
This is what Islam is doing to Africa. Islam inspired violence is killing Africa and Africans. We should not be tempted to just shrug our shoulders after reading such stories and move on. This is because what the violent followers of the equally violent ideology of Islam is doing in Africa, will not stay in Africa out of sight and out of mind. Islamic extremists would quite happily carry out the same sort of murders and mass slaughter that they do in Africa in our homelands unless this violent ideology is countered firmly by our governments. What happens in places like the Congo today could easily be happening in places like Britain, Belgium or France tomorrow. We should see the jihad in Africa as a warning for the entire civilised world.
