Defund the BBC

I used to believe that there were small parts of the BBC that could be saved, parts that were less dominated by political correctness and rampant left wingery than others. I used to believe that BBC News, one of the worse offenders when it comes to political bias, should be hived off and turned into a commercial entity, leaving the less corrupted bits to form the new core of this public service broadcaster. I still want to see a national broadcast repository of British culture, a platform providing free access to all to the great art, literature, music, photography and cinema that this nation has produced, but I’m increasingly coming to the view that the BBC is not the entity that can provide this public service.

I’m beginning to come to the opinion that the BBC, not just news, not just drama, not just factual programmes, but all of it, is too far gone to be saved by reform instigated by government. When it comes to the left wing biases on the BBC, they are everywhere. These biases are on local radio, news programmes, nature programmes, drama and documentaries. FFS, the Woke Cult even managed to get their filthy mitts on one of the UK’s longest running and best loved serial dramas, Radio Four’s The Archers.

If we want a public service broadcaster that actually serves the public, we can’t rely on the government, any government, to reform it for us. We cannot petition the BBC not to be Woketarded arseholes, as the BBC will just not listen or act on the criticism that they receive. The only way to slay this beast and build something better in its place is to starve it of cash by not buying a Television Licence.

The piece linked below from the Westmonster site sums up the problems and the solutions better than I could and I would advise people to read this and if they can, act to put financial pressure on the BBC. We as a nation deserve much better than what the BBC is giving us and we should not be expected nor forced to pay for such a piss poor service.

  1. It’s about time the TV licence was abolished. I only switch on to BBC to check the news on tele text or to watch Bargain Hunt (which are constant repeats). Neither will I truly miss if I didn’t have BBC. There is plenty I could do with the money saved from not paying though!
