Censorship does not work

Tommy Robinson

“When you tear out a man’s tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you’re only telling the world that you fear what he might say.”

― George R.R. Martin, A Clash of Kings

Mr Tommy Robinson must count as one of the most censored individuals in the United Kingdom today. He’s been slandered by various indentity politics and Islamic grievance mongers, banned from legacy social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, often at the instigation of the above-mentioned grievance mongers and demonised by a mainstream media that has been completely taken over by the liberal left.

The left are anxious that on the legacy social media platforms, no other voice but their own will be heard. The Left are even more worried that Britons might hear his non-race related criticisms of the ideology of Islam and agree with them. The left have few logical arguments against him so they do what all Leftist regimes and currents do, which is ban and censor the dissidents.

But censoring Mr Robinson from the legacy social media platforms has plainly not worked. The average Briton who worries about where the country is going does want to hear what Mr Robinson has to say, so that they can judge his words for themselves. Evidence of this desire to hear Mr Robinson’s point of view comes from his recent decision to join the free speech platform Parler. Mr Robinson joined one night and by the following day he had garnered over 4,000 followers. This is not only an amazing achievement for a man who is hated not just by the Left, the British political Establishment but also by real neo-Nazis, but a testament to how the many attempts to censor Mr Robinson and his message has failed and failed dismally. You may agree or disagree with Mr Robinson, but he should be allowed to speak and he should be able to speak freely on Parler.
