Yom Kippur greetings

Tonight at sunset starts the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. It is a day of fasting, repentance and prayer and a day where I do not ‘do’ politics. Therefore this blog will go silent from sunset tonight until sunset tomorrow with normal service being not being properly resumed until Tuesday.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all this blog’s many Jewish readers well over the fast and Jews and indeed for everyone else, I’d like to leave you with a brilliant video on the subject of Yom Kippur by the Jewish commentator Ezra Levant from Canada.

In this video he rails against complacency and especially against complacency in the face of enemies and opponents. It is a video that I watch often at this time of year since its release in 2016 and although this is an old video, much of its message still holds true.
