Two Trans stories.. The legal cases begin and the dangers of self ID

The Trans symbol.

I’ve spotted two transgender related stories that you may be interested in. The first is from the Daily Mail and concerns someone who claims that they were inappropriately transitioned at the age of 16 and is bringing a legal action against the Tavistock and Portland NHS Trust. I believe that this will be the first of a tsunami of legal cases that will be brought against both the NHS and pro-trans organisations who have failed to deal with patients or clients with any degree of care or who have promoted the transition path to the exclusion of all else.

For the record and to avoid any misinterpretations, I have little problem with adults over the age of 21 making the decision to irreversibly change their bodies to create a simulacrum of the body that they believe they should have. This for me comes into the area of bodily autonomy. Where I do have an issue is with the concept of paediatric gender transition. As the human brain does not complete development until the early to mid twenties, paediatric gender transition puts the decision to transition into the hands of those who are unable to properly consent to the procedures or understand the risks of transition. To be quite frank I view paediatric gender transition as child abuse.

From the Daily Mail 6th October 2020

An IT engineer put on puberty blockers as a 16-year-old girl has claimed a gender clinic failed to carry out a proper psychiatric assessment before giving them to her.
Keira Bell, 23, of Manchester, who is taking legal action against the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust in London, suffered from gender dysphoria as a child.
She took testosterone, which left her with a deep voice and possibly infertile, and had a double mastectomy – but later realised she had ‘gone down the wrong path’.
Miss Bell is now taking the Tavistock, which runs the Gender Identity Development Service, to the High Court to stop it ‘rushing’ other teenagers into changing sex.
She is also raising fears over puberty blockers which halt a child’s normal physical development, making sex-change surgery easier when they reach adulthood.

Ms Bell said that she had suffered from depression and anxiety about her sexuality and her body whilst a teenager. Maybe it would have been better for her to get help related to her sexuality and body image problems rather than pushing her down the medical gender transition route that the NHS seems to have done?

The second story is particularly horrific and comes from one of my favourite trans commentators Rose of Dawn.

Whilst the policy of allowing people to self identify as the gender of their choice has for a while been beaten in the United Kingdom, self ID is allowed in other countries, such as the Republic or Ireland. As Rose of Dawn points out in her excellent but disturbing video, this policy of self ID has allowed an 18 year old,who was refused treatment at a British gender clinic because they didn’t meet the transgender guidelines and who has a violent animus against women, to be housed in a woman’s prison. This case at least to me shows the danger of self ID when it comes to gender, which is that it can be easily exploited by some very damaged or bad people. However it is this danger of abuse of the self ID system that those who promote the idea of self ID often refuse to acknowledge.

Indeed and it is the Left, not necessarily ordinary bob standard Trans people who just want to live their lives quietly, who have pushed the Self ID rubbish and the disgusting idea that children can transition.

    • Never trust anyone with your kids, always be aware and look for signs. It’s not political! Sex abusers are sick in the head. They will never stop.

  2. Agree, as I’m sure @LR would. Many LGBT (TS & TV) want nothing to do with Stonewall, Pride etc

Josephine at Tim W’s place is one and wants a quiet happy life – sadly many there are, shall we say, bigots

I believe that Pride festivals once had some purpose. They were a day of entertainment and networking when such things were difficult and as they were back in the 70’s and 80′ a way of getting support for relevant causes such as equality and AIDS research and treatment. Now though they are just hedonistic and bullying events, designed not to celebrate or support LGBT people but to intimidate both gay and straight people into shutting up and not asking awkward questions of the LGBT Left. Pride events have also become increasingly uncomfortable for Lesbians because of the bullying and intimidation that they face from the Transgenders.

As for Stonewall they are dreadful. They no longer, if they ever did, represent the ordinary gay, lesbian or bisexual person on the street. I was once friends with a gay man who was involved with one of the civil service gay groups and his view of Stonewall and their effect was scathing. He said that they and those they inspired ignored low paid and low grade CS’s who were gay and may have been having trouble at work in favour of building policy power bases for themselves and their acolytes. It is also Stonewall who are one of the main driving forces behind the ludicrous and damaging policy of promoting Trans issues to children. Also Stonewall has a history of working with and being run by activists who were not just of the far Left but the destructive Marxist far Left and merely swapped their jeans and tee shirts for smart suits leaving their Marxism intact.
