Unsurprising.

Many Britons, even non Christians such as myself and non-religious types were shocked to see a man ripping a cross from the front of a Baptist Church in Chadwell Heath in East London. The initial reports, including a statement from the pastor of the church, tried to push the ‘mental illness’ line. This was a horrific act of desecration that should never have happened, not to this church, not to to a synagogue or a temple or to any other peaceful house of prayer.

Here’s one video of the incident:

However the initial assumption that this was a ‘mental health’ case incident is starting to break down. A man has been apprehended and has been charged pretty quickly, remarkably quickly in fact. This is something that would not have occurred had this been a mental health issue as the police would have had to remand them into the care of mental health professionals in order to assess whether or not they were mentally fit enough to be questioned and or charged.

The man who has been charged is, surprise surprise, or rather not, a Muslim from Basildon by the name of Yussef Alwali, aged 19. He’s been charged with religiously aggravated criminal damage. This charge and the fact that the accused was not put in the care of mental health professionals but rather dealt with by way of the usual criminal justice system, does make it look a whole lot more than just a nutter going nutty. We will of course have to wait until his eventual trial to find out what his motivations were, that’s unless the Crown Prosecution Service finds an excuse to ‘no crime’ this incident because it is embarrassing for the Mohammedans.

Here’s what the local paper the Barking and Dagenham Post said of this incident:

Yussef Alwali, 19, from Basildon is due to appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday, October 20) charged with religiously aggravated criminal damage.

A cross was ripped off the roof of Chadwell Heath Baptist Church in High Road at about 2.40pm on Sunday, October 18.

The church issued a statement on Monday, October 19, saying: “We are distressed following the events of yesterday.

The person seen was not part of our church. We are thankful no one was hurt and do not want this to affect our ministry.

We continue to pray for everyone in Chadwell Heath and will do our best to serve the community now and in the future.”

Looks like this could be a whole lot more than merely a person suffering from a mental health crisis doesn’t it?  This is definitely a case that patriots in East London should keep an eye on.

  1. A great pity that he didn’t “jump to his conclusion”……
