From Elsewhere: Virtue signalling Labour MP finds that her virtue signalling is not that appreciated outside of her bubble.

The Labour MP for Dulwich and West Norwood, Helen Hayes, decided that what most needed her precious Commons speaking time and her attention was not the perilous state of the economy or the prospect of bad energy decisions causing a deadly winter in Britain, but instead the ‘plight’ of an ‘asylum seeker’ family who hasn’t been granted the type of food, clothing and housing that they want. This sort of ‘refugee’ related bleating by Ms Hayes might be well received in Labour Party or Third Sector quarters but it appears to be soundly rejected by ordinary Britons.

A quick perusal of the comments below the Tweet from GB News about Ms Hayes’s refugee related virtue signalling quite plainly shows that her views are not shared by those outside of her political bubble. To the comments HERE. Somehow I don’t think that this is the response that Ms Hayes thought she would get when she virtue signalled.

  1. But politicians find virtue signaling such fun, particular when they are spending other people’s money. Many if not most are in fact addicted to it and believe we lower class plebs can’t see through them.
