Since the Referendum to leave the European Union took place in 2016, there has been a rise in the number of certain gobby, anti-democratic remain obsessives. Such people have greatly impinged on the public’s consciousness with the mainstream media giving these Brussels-fellating cultists significantly more space or airtime than they deserve. These Remainiacs still have a big presence on social media where their utterances make it quite clear that they have still not come to terms with a revolt against an anti-democratic EU by Britons and in particular Britain’s working classes who voted Leave in their droves.
On social media the members of the Remain cult genuflect before the EU and its perceive ‘progressivism’ and one of those who worship the EU the most on social media is a guy called Femi. Femi can be guaranteed to pop up and slag off Brexit or laud the EU or promote his obviously middle class leftism. If you are British and a Brexiteer then you will probably have encountered Femi but if you are not British then he’s worth looking up just to be astonished at the foolishness he comes out with.
However recently Capel Lofft saw one of Femi’s Tweets and decided to comment on it. Personally I think that Capel Lofft has firmly and squarely hit the nail on the head there.
Capel Lofft is correct. Femi’s statement is a laundry list of middle class radical leftist desires. There’s the EU worship, the desire for a voting system that lends itself to coalitions forged in back room deals, the handing of too much power to those who would break up the UK, the authoritarianism of making things that should be the province of the government of the day into constitutional rights and elements of policies that would result in financial mismanagement. It is if the worst elements of the authoritarian middle class left who work at the Guardian were asked to formulate desired policies. It is certainly the sort of stuff that I have come to expect from Femi.
