At last. A good decision made, Shamima Begum is NOT coming back (hopefully)

Finally, the result that many Britons has wanted in the case of the ISIS terror supporter Shamima Begum has arrived. A special immigration tribunal has found that the former Home Secretary Sajid Javid was correct in removing Begum’s British citizenship. Despite massive expenditure, probably via the taxpayer, on left wing lawyers by the Begum camp, the decision to not return her citizenship and therefore her right to come back to the UK, has been made.

This is the correct decision and one which should have been made years ago. She chose to follow ISIS knowing what they were and the atrocities that they committed. In interviews with Western media she admitted that she was a little relaxed about seeing dustbins full of the heads of those that ISIS had murdered.

As well as being the correct decision in this individual case it’s also important because if it had gone the other way then it might have set some sort of precedent which would have been exploited by the lawyers for other ex British ISIS types to come back to the UK. This would have been a terrible outcome as the last thing we need is a return of the ISIS nasties to British shores. We already have enough problems with Islamic extremism and terrorism in the United Kingdom and we really don’t need to import more of such problems.

The only people who are upset about this decision are various Islamic activists and politicians such as Baroness Sayeeda Warsi and the Guardian newspaper which, as can be expected in cases like these, is wringing its hands over the fact that Shamima Begum has been denied the return of her UK citizenship.

This is a good decision by the immigration tribunal and hopefully it’s good riddance forever for this ISIS loving bastard called Shamima Begum.

For goodness sake, she was a child of 15, groomed. This is cruel popularism.

Had she been white, middle classed, groomed and led to some nutcase white supremacist neo-Nazi enclave in Atlanta or Germany, she’d have been home on the first flight.

This demonstrates our government’s complete failure to protect children and women.

Most so called “adults” don’t reach any kind of moral or intellectual maturity until their early twenties ( just look at the antics of your typical student)

Cruel, very wrong and not something any of our allies would have done

I’m afraid I have to disagree with you on this one. There’s ample evidence that despite her age she was already pretty well radicalised into support for some pretty awful Islamic currents and Islamic organisations, such as in this case ISIS. There’s little evidence from what I can gather that she was forcibly removed from the UK and also little to show that her radicalisation was interdicted by family and friends. I dn’t buy the ‘groomed’ thing in Begum’s case although it’s something that is promoted by the Left.

It is not the case that had she been White then her case would be treated differently. Look at the case of Jack Letts another ISIS wannabe. He is White and got citizenship removed as well.

I do agree that the government fails dismally to protect women and children but they fail by allowing de facto open borders and presiding over politicised police force, like those of West Mercia for example, who sat by whilst Islamic Grooming Gangs committed sex crimes with impunity because the police were fearful of being accused of being ‘racist’.

Agree that brain maturity does not wholly finish developing until the mid twenties, which is why I would restrict all gender identity counselling and gender identity treatment to the over twenty fives. However, in the Begum case there is more than enough evidence to show that she knew what she was doing and her interviews following her discover in a refugee camp show that she was markedly unrepentant about her association with extremism even going to the extent of praising the Manchester Arena bombers.

I agree that this is not what some of our allies do but do we really want to be like France or Sweden where religious violence has become somewhat of the norm? Yes this is a popular decision but it’s popular because its correct.

Edit: Mr LeGood. You may be interested in the excellent article from Fraser Myers over at Spiked Magazine which thoroughly skewers the claims that Begum was ‘groomed’ or was taken out of the country by force or is some innocent caught up in things she didn’t understand. Begum was not a naive ISIS housewife as the leftist media and similar turds claim, she was part of the ISIS ‘vice and virtue’ police with the power to impose punishments on innocent people who fell foul of ISIS.
