From Elsewhere: Great reporting.

In my view one of the great assets of the broadcaster GB News is their reporter Charlie Peters. I’ve been watching more and more of his stuff over this year and I have to say that I’m deeply impressed.

Here in Mr Peters we have what is obviously a skilled, intelligent reporter who is also remarkably curious about the world, unlike too many of his contemporaries. He is willing to say stuff that other reporters might not feel able to and a good example of this is his piece that he did on his return from Israel to the UK.

In this piece he talks about the view from Israelis of British heritage of the mass protests led by radical Muslims and radical Leftists that are calling for the destruction of Israel and also about the serious problem of high profile Islamic clerics coming out and publicly supporting Hamas and Jihad.

Looking at some of the output of Mr Peters I find I start to feel some pride again in the trade of journalism. He’s doing the sort of reporting that was once the province of the BBC or Channel 4 but which is no longer the sort of reporting that they would today consider because these organisations are no longer recognisably impartial or honest when it comes to news reporting.
