Revenge is a dish that I’m now eating cold and it’s very very tasty.

Regular readers of this blog will be aware of how I have engaged at times in a lot of what I believe is justified criticism of the Tell Mama organisation. I have highlighted this group’s habit of having a disconnection with the truth when it comes to claims of ‘Islamophobia’, the massive waste of money that has been expended on this entity and the lengths that it has gone to to promote the false narrative that Muslims are being treated a bit like Jews were in mid 1930’s Germany.

I could see, even from back in 2013 when the then head of Tell Mama, Fiyaz Mughal claimed that there had been a ‘massive rise’ in ‘Islamophobia following the Jihadist murder of the soldier Lee Rigby, when there had not been, that Tell Mama was not a group to be trusted. The more I dug into the activities of this group and those who spoke for them, the more stuff that I found that worried me. I found Tell Mama being allowed to train and influence police officers, speak out against the concept of freedom of speech and do their utmost, up to and including exploiting a mentally ill transsexual, to influence civil society and governmental organisations. None of those things, I believe, are good or sensible for society as a whole.

I roaringly took the piss, and still do where I can, out of Tell Mama. They are utterly odious and their style of campaigning does bugger all for the public image of Islam. The constant whining by Tell Mama about often non-existent or minor examples of anti-Muslim prejudice, the attacks on free speech and on those who speak out about Islamic extremism, along with their contributions to the growing anger at what is being seen as two tier policing, does not put the ordinary law abiding and loyal Muslim Briton in a good light. If I was a heterodox Muslim, or one from one of those few branches of Islam that have turned their backs on extremism and supremacy, then I’d see Tell Mama as part of the problem not the solution to societal dislike of my faith. I’d worry if Tell Mama’s whining about ‘Islamophobia’ as a form of DARVO (deny, attack, and reverse victim & offender) type distraction following Islamic terror atrocities did me any favours at all?

It was somewhat inevitable that taking the piss out of an organisation such as Tell Mama that promoted the “Muslims as permanent victims” narrative and which had suspiciously good contacts in the Metropolitan Police (proprietor one Sadiq Khan as Police and Crime Commissioner), would result in the attention of said, now clearly bent towards Islam, force. So it came to pass that on Tuesday 22nd October 2019 at 07:15am several of the Met’s ‘finest’ knocked on my door and arrested me for ‘malicious communications and racial and religious abuse. It turned out that the complainant was Mr Mughal himself. However after a year and a half of investigations, the police dropped the case as there was zero evidence that I attacked Mr Mughal on the grounds of his race or religion, the truth was I attacked Mughal because for a long time he headed up a shitty, wasteful and dishonest entity. It turned out that I was obviously not the Jewish neo-Nazi the police were hoping to find LOL.

Because of my dislike of Tell Mama and their operations, along with my experiences with Tell Mama’s friends in the Met, I have been absolutely delighted to see that both Tell Mama and the Metropolitan Police have been getting a serious online kicking over on Twitter/X. This situation arose because the Met decided to put out a post not only using the dubious claim that ‘diversity is London’s strength’ but also using equally dubious figures from Tell Mama about an alleged rise in ‘Islamophobia’.

Here’s the Met statement and you can probably guess why when released it got absolutely slaughtered and heavily ratioed by the General Public.

The statement in itself is utterly laughable as it is the Met that has allowed mobs of mostly Islamic hate marchers to voice their support for Hamas and their hatred of Israel and Jews for month after month, yet now turn around and try to gaslight us all that it is not Jew hatred that is the problem but ‘Islamophobia’.

The pile on to both the Met and Tell Mama was both justified and satisfying to see. I say that because back in the day it was a small number of other concerned citizens including myself attacking Tell Mama. With the political support that Tell Mama have garnered for themselves, we felt like voices crying in the wilderness. Well that’s a situation that no longer exists. If you look at the replies to the Met in the Twitter/X feed below you will find that now the public is now more than well informed about both Tell Mama, their funding, lack of transparency and influence over the Met Police and they clearly don’t like what they’ve found out about Tell Mama.

As well as expressing a large degree of dislike for the mendacious grievance mongers of Tell Mama, many of the contributors and commentators to this thread also asked some very awkward questions of the Met; such as why they are not making a fuss about the far higher, and provably so, numbers of incidents of Jew hatred and they are questioning the Met’s judgement in associating with Tell Mama.

I’m really pleased to see the public turning on Tell Mama, it’s a vindication of sorts that those of us who have criticised this group in the past were indeed onto something. In a way, for me at least, it is a dish of revenge for what they’ve done to me and to others which is perfectly fine being eaten cold.

Tell Mama have used their contacts with the police to prosecute or encourage the prosecution not just of those who physically attack those of the Muslim faith, something that many reasonable people would agree was wrong, but also of those who speak up about the pernicious and dangerous aspects of Islam, with which we are by now becoming all too familiar.

I’m glad to see that Tell Mama are at last getting public anger aimed at them in large amounts on social media and elsewhere. It’s no more than they deserve. At this time as well as laughing at the discomfort of Tell Mama and their sadly rather too tame Met Police officers, I also think of all those who have have been imprisoned, fined, given community sentences, lost their jobs or lost their social media presences because of the actions of Tell Mama. They are the true victims here, not those which a dubious entity like Tell Mama claims are victims.

  1. Are you suggesting khan and the met are being influenced /controlled by Islamists? I ‘m shocked – off to Reform and the naughty step with you!
I remember the problems you (and others) had a while ago and am pleased you are now seeing a change in how people perceive what’s been happening.
Do continue to enjoy your banquet as I hope the spell of ‘Isamaphobia’ etc has been broken and will provide you with more than one dish.

I’m enjoying my banquet lots. The Met may not be controlled by Islamists but there are far too many people and individuals connected to the Met either officially or unofficially who are prepared to turn a blind eye to Islamism or want to stop legitimate criticism of Islam.
