There’s been a terrible jihadist vehicular attack on attendees at Berlin Pride. According to various press reports a man named by German Police as Abdul B who has connections to Islamic jihadist groups in Germany drove a white van into a crowd near to the Brandenburg Gate in central Berlin.
The BBC said of the attack which occurred around 22:00 local time:
One person has died and at least 16 others have been injured at a Berlin Pride event after a vehicle was driven into a crowd in the city centre.
Police say they have identified a male suspect but have not arrested him or released a name, adding he is “known to the police and is associated with the Islamist spectrum.”
An intensive manhunt is still under way, which has expanded to the entire city. The annual pride event, also known as Christopher Street Day, has been cancelled.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said in a statement he would “make sure this horrific act is fully investigated and punished”.
“We believe that a vehicle entered the Tiergarten park and hit several people and injured them,” police posted on social media.
Later on the Reuters news agency said that the perpetrator had been identified by the police but was not named. However an Indian news source using local sources in Berlin identified the suspect as Abdul B a known associate of jihadists.
This is just the latest in a series of mostly Islamic vehicular terror attacks carried out in Germany.
The Indian news source ‘Times Now News’ added:
According to multiple local media reports, the suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Abdul B, who was released from juvenile detention in May 2026. Police have not officially confirmed the identity.
Born in 2005, he was released from juvenile detention in May 2026. According to information obtained by this newsroom, the renter of the vehicle is known to police in a religiously motivated context. Whether the renter was also the driver is part of the ongoing investigation.
The nature of the target and the nature of the attacker leads me to believe that this is yet another jihadist attack on Germany and the German people. Yet again ordinary Germans are paying the price for former Chancellor Angela Merkel’s open door policy for ‘refugees’ from Islamic lands.
