It appears that London’s Metropolitan Police are still interfering with the free speech of Britons which they really shouldn’t be doing unless the person in question is credibly inciting violence which in this case their target clearly is not doing that and is merely criticising a religious ideology.

What the Met have done is phoned up women’s rights campaigner Kelly Jay Keen to ask her to come to a London police station for a ‘voluntary interview’ because someone complained about a speech she gave at this year’s Unite The Kingdom rally and some social media posts that Ms Keen made. Apparently some unidentified person complained about Ms Keen’s comments and the Met is investigating her under the auspices of the Malicious Communications Act and the Public Order Act.

Ms Keen was incredibly polite to the Met drone who telephoned her but firmly told the drone that she will not be attending any voluntary interview with the Met. Because of this the Met is now likely to be going in with all guns blazing and arrest or attempt to arrest Ms Keen. That I need to say is not going to work out well for the Met as Ms Keen is a high profile women’s rights campaigner and someone who is incredibly well supported. If the Met arrest her then the Met are more than likely going to have yet another public relations disaster on their hands.

Ms Keen described the Met as ‘fucking mental’ and I suspect that many people who heard this recording of the police officer and Ms Keen may well agree with her.
