The Metropolitan Police which serve (and I say that loosely) the people of the London area might not be able to effectively deal with burglaries or muggings or robberies or anti-social behaviour but they are damned effective at finding ‘racism’ even when the ‘racism’ wasn’t there. According to a poster on X an image of a female Muslim Met officer holding a rifle went viral and attracted a very great deal of criticism from members of the public.
The Met were straight out of the traps at lightening speed to whine that the public’s complaints about the Muslim officer and her rifle were ‘racist’. However it appears that the bulk of these complaints by members of the public were nothing to do with this woman’s race or religion. What people were, in my view very reasonably, complaining about was the female officer’s truly appalling and unsafe method of holding her rifle. Now I do not have a firearms or a shotgun licence but I know enough about firearms to understand that rule 1 of safe firearms handling is keep your damned fingers well away from the trigger until it’s time to fire the weapon. This woman as can be seen from the image below, has clearly failed to follow or even understand that rule.

The Met Police are indeed awful. Still at least we know now what animates the senior management of the Met, it’s not the burglary, robbery, car crime and antisocial behaviour that you may suffer from in London, it’s perceived ‘racism’ even when such racism doesn’t exist.
