Now it’s Jihad by car. (Updated)

The Jihadist Martin Couture-Rouleau, before he became a radicalised Jihadist Islamic savage.

Update: Sadly one of the Canadian soldiers who was mown down by the Jihadist Savage has according to this news report now died. The thoughts of all civilised people will be I hope with the family  of the soldier who has been murdered.

A story from Canada proves that not having access to firearms or explosives will not deter Islamic savages from making war on us all. Two Canadian soldiers were mown down in a supermarket car park and one was seriously injured by an assailant said to be a radicalised convert to Islam.

The i24 news website said:

Man who mowed down two Canadian soldiers expressed jihadist sympathies, federal authorities say

A man who mowed down two Canadian soldiers Monday in a Quebec supermarket parking lot died from shots by police, authorities said. The incident is being investigated as a possible terror attack, The Globe and Mail reported.

Canadian federal authorities confirmed via the Canadian Prime Minister’s office that there were “indications” that the driver was an Islamic convert who expressed jihadist sympathies and had become “radicalized”.

The incident occurred shortly before noon, when a car smashed into the two soldiers before fleeing with police in pursuit.

A few kilometers away, the driver lost control of his car and flipped into a ditch in the side of the road.

A witness said the driver was holding a knife and headed toward police after he extricated himself from his vehicle.

Then: “we heard between five and seven shots,” the witness told news channel RDI.

A police spokesman did not confirm whether the man was armed but said officers had opened fire on the 25-year-old suspect, who they did not name but was “known to police.”

“I can confirm that shots were fired,” spokesman Guy Lapointe told a press conference.

One of the two soldiers remains in critical condition in the hospital in Saint-Jean sur Richelieu, some 40 kilometers south-east of Montreal, while the other was more lightly injured.

The incident originally drew political attention when conservative lawmaker Randy Hoback referred to “unconfirmed reports of a possible terror attack” in a question to Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

“We are aware of these reports, and they are obviously extremely troubling,” Harper replied.

“We’re closely monitoring the situation and obviously we will make available all the resources of the federal government,” he said.

Investigators said they have not ruled anything out.

“The investigation has only just begun,” Lapointe said, adding “we are not going to speculate.”

“The terrorist theory is being considered by investigators” alongside all other possibilities, another police official said.”

Bearing in mind that this murderous savage was known to police and said to have jihadist sympathies then it is pretty likely that this was a terrorist attack.

The Sun News, another Canadian media source said later:

A Quebecer shot dead by police after running down two Canadian soldiers told a 911 operator he was acting in the name of Allah, a police source tells QMI Agency.

The Prime Minister’s Office says the dead suspect, identified as Martin Couture-Rouleau, had become “radicalized.”

Two police sources told QMI Agency that the incident just after 11:30 a.m. was a possible terrorist attack against the soldiers, one of whom was in critical condition.

Police gunned down Couture-Rouleau, 25, in his hometown of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, 30 minutes south of Montreal on Monday morning.

He had led police on a chase after mowing down a uniformed and a plainclothes soldier in the parking lot of an auto-insurance outlet.

A source says the suspect called 911 during the chase to say that he carried out his acts in the name of Allah.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper said the attack left him “troubled” and his office says the dead suspect was “known to federal authorities, including the Integrated National Security Enforcement Team.

“Federal authorities have confirmed that there are clear indications that the individual had become radicalized,” the PMO said in a statement late Monday.

“As Canada’s national security agencies have said, Canadians should remain vigilant.”

The PMO said Harper was briefed by RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson, Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Tom Lawson and National Security Advisor Stephen Rigby.

Couture-Rouleau became known to the RCMP after a relative alerted police to the man’s terrorist leanings, a police source told QMI Agency.

A neighbor told QMI that Couture-Rouleau had grown out his beard and started wearing a turban after converting to Islam a year ago.

Quebec provincial police said one of the unidentified Canadian soldiers was critically injured when a car struck the pair.

The suspect drove off after running down the soldiers. Cops gave chase and the suspect lost control and rolled his car, which came to rest on its roof at the bottom of a ditch.

The suspect allegedly crawled out a window with a long knife and an eyewitness said the man charged at a woman police officer.

“I heard them (police) shout several times, ‘Get out of the car, get out of the car and raise your hands,'” the woman said. “The man got out and charged towards the policewoman. Then that’s when we heard seven gunshots, then the man was on the ground.”

Another eyewitness said the suspect put his hands up at first, then “charged like a bull” towards the policewoman before seven or eight gunshots rang out.

A knife could be seen stuck in the grass near the flipped car. A curved, ornamental handle protruded into the air.

One witness said police put down a spike belt during the chase but she wasn’t sure whether the suspect crashed after running over it or trying to avoid it.

Speaking Monday afternoon in the House of Commons, Tory MP Randy Hoback asked about “unconfirmed reports of a possible terror attack against two members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

“Can the Prime Minister please update this House on this matter?”

Harper replied: “We are aware of these reports that are very troubling. Our thoughts and our prayers are with the victims and the families.
“We are following the situation very closely and will make available all of the resources of the federal government.”

The soldiers were hit less than 3 km from the French-language Royal Military College Saint-Jean.”

What is it with converts to Islam? So often they read the Koran and then suffer from sudden jihad syndrome which in itself should tell us all that there is something deeply wrong with the ideology of Islam. Converts to Christianity spend their time praying and trying to do good works and loving their neighbour, converts to Judaism spend their time praying, doing good works, trying not to turn the light on when it’s Shabbat and mastering the art of chicken soup making, but converts to Islam now there is a radically different story. It seems as soon as they get involved deep enough in Islam they ‘go rogue’ and want to kill people which makes me think that Islam has more in common with Nazism and other oppressive ideologies than normal religions.

It appears that there are a lot of sick and twisted people who because of some fault within themselves become attracted to the sick and twisted ideology of Islam. This latest Islamic abomination from Canada is yet another example of how Islam is incompatible with free and open societies. The followers of other faiths rarely become as violently treasonous as the followers of Islam do on such a regular basis and we should not cease to point out the difference between genuinely peaceful faiths and Islam.

About the only bright spot in this whole sorry tale is that the police killed this Savage so that he can no longer harm or corrupt anybody else.
