Desperation, sleaze and moral turpitude. A fairly accurate description of the Remain campaign.

Out of respect for the dead, I was hoping to let a decent amount of time elapse before writing anything, other than the initial news/comment piece, on the events following the murder of Jo Cox.

The violent death of an MP is an astoundingly rare event in the UK with only 47 members of the House of Commons murdered since 1300, so it is natural that such a crime would have a shock factor and I felt that this crime deserved a gap in time before being written about.

Unfortunately the behaviour of the Remain campaign has meant that I cannot and should not still be bound by this moral stricture. Nor can I remain silent about some of the things that have gone on with regards the Remain camp. As the title says, desperation, sleaze and moral turpitude are things that have characterised the Remain campaign.

The lies, the scare stories, threats and the base and vile personal conduct of too many of those involved in the Remain campaign has been a sight to behold. There has been the scare stories put out by the Remain campaign, many of which have been shown to be false. Then there is the dishonesty born of desperation by the Remainers who cannot show us a positive benefit from the EU so they twist facts and sometimes have blatantly lied to the British electorate. Finally there’s the moral turpitude of the Remainers. I thought that the sight of a multimillionaire rock star social justice warrior giving a V sign to the hard pressed British fishermen was awful but there was worse, much worse to come.

The tragic murder of Jo Cox has been mercilessly exploited by the Remain camp and their Leftist and far Leftist allies. I’ve been appalled at some of the shroud-waving that the Remainers and Leftists have been engaged in following this awful murder. The Remainers didn’t even have the basic decency to hold off from campaigning for a few hours. They dived in and exploited the murder for all it was worth. They milked this tragic death at a time when a brief period of silence would have been the better course. They used Ms Cox’s death to attack Nigel Farage, the Leave Campaign, and anybody and everyone who is concerned about the deleterious effect that almost unrestricted and grossly inappropriate immigration has had on the United Kingdom. The Remainers have not just surrendered the moral high ground but have plunged with gusto into a lake of moral sewage by their actions. The acts and words of the Remainers have shocked ordinary Britons and I’ve even got far Left friends who are now voting Leave, primarily because of the actions of Remain and the lack of honesty from the Remain crowd. The venom, hatred, cynicism and dishonesty coming from the Remainers has been truly astonishing. British politics can be harsh and sometimes nasty but Remain have taken all this one step further.

What we’ve seen from the Remainiacs is not politics, it is hatefulness, cynicism and dishonesty. It’s also the sort of activity that I’m voting Leave to both avoid and to challenge. Leave has people from all backgrounds, skin colours and religions who see that being ruled by a tyrant in Brussels is less preferable than going it alone. Remain on the other hand is stuffed full of people who have a direct and indirect financial or power interest in Britain staying in a bloc that has for many years shown its contempt for Britain and its people. I’m voting Leave because I’d rather back the right of the British people to decide their own laws than be swayed by the mealy mouthed and false words of those whose pockets have been stuffed with gold by the EU.

I’m truly appalled and disgusted by how Remain have conducted both themselves and their campaign. If there is any justice in this world then they deserve to lose.

  1. Well said, except for what I suspect is a typo:

” I’ve even got far Left friends who are now voting Remain primarily because of the actions of Remain”

Among the appalling squalor of the Remain campaign the only, much-needed, lighter note I’ve spotted was the dimwit who tried to scare us by claiming that if we voted leave then we would be come just like…. Guernsey!
Yes, that desperate hell-hole that thousands go to every year for a nice holiday.
I doubt that that many potential leavers looking around their drab Islamified towns will be too upset at the thought of becoming a little more like one of the more charming Channel Islands.

Agggh! The typo horror. Yes that ws a typo and it has now been corrected. ‘Squalor’ is a good way of describing how the Remain campaign has behaved. The comparison with Guernsey will as you say backfire after all who wouldn’t rather live somewhere nice like Guernsey than in some Islamised shithole like Newham or Bradford or Rochdale or Birmingham?
