Seven Kings mosque incident

The location of the Seven Kings area of Redbridge

A story has emerged overnight from the rapidly Islamising London Borough of Redbridge. In the Seven Kings area of that borough (which used to be a good place to live and socialise until Islam arrived), there is a mosque. Apparently according to press reports, a man walked into the mosque last night and discharged what is more than likely to be a blank firing firearm. The shooter was bundled outside by mosque attendees and fled on foot, he has still not been apprehended. This aspect of the incident, which knowing the way that the Met Police pander to Islam and are very hot on dealing with firearms offences, strikes me as very odd. Normally the Met pull out all the stops when it comes to firearms incidents or alleged firearms incidents because London does have a significant gang related violence problem. They normally act pretty quickly to reports of firearms incidents as we saw back in March when a man was caught near St Paul’s Cathedral in The City, with an imitation gun. They had this guy in custody in double quick time, which raises the question why has the same not happened in the Seven Kings case?

The police have put the mosque on ‘lockdown’ according to the Daily Express and kept a large police presence at the mosque which was holding Ramadan prayers, throughout the night. I would assume that the police acted quickly in this case and all necessary resources, including possibly a Met Police helicopter was used to find the assailant. If that is the case why hasn’t the man been caught yet? At the time of writing this article 08:30, there is no indication that the assailant has yet been identified.

Until further information comes out there will be a lot of speculation about this case and interestingly the Imam of the mosque has called for people not to speculate, which may mean that there is either less or more about this case then meets the eye. There are a lot of questions about this case which may or may not be answered in due course. Questions such as: Were the mosque attendees familiar with this assailant? This could explain why they, being unarmed, and seeing and hearing a firearm, just bundled the man out. Is he another Muslim, a known local nutter (there is a large mental hospital nearby that doesn’t exactly have a stellar reputation for security) or a local man driven to distraction by the disturbance that this mosque may have brought? The police are giving no description of the assailant and, despite the man being masked, many people had enough contact with him during the incident to ascertain basic details such as height, build and possibly race. Why are these details not being publicised by the Met?

A couple of things spring to my mind and that is that if this is not the work of a lone and disturbed individual then it may be a fake attack or some intra-religious conflict between communal or religious factions. If it is either of these reasons then it will not be the first time that we have seen either fake ‘hate crimes’ or violence between Muslims themselves.

It is entirely possible that this case involves someone with an animus against Islam and there are a lot of such people about. It’s not beyond the bounds of possibility that someone had gone to the mosque with the intention of scaring people, but surely someone with more than half a brain with that much hatred for the death cult that is Islam, would have gone further than merely turning up with something that is no more dangerous than a starting pistol? Someone determined enough to enter the mosque with the intention of doing damage because they hate Islam would also be determined and resourceful enough to acquire one of the many illegal guns that are sold in London. These are readily available and, according the the Guardian, range in price from £150 to £1500. Why on earth would any sane person who hated Islam enough to enter a mosque with a firearm bother with risking a long prison sentence for a mere blank firing gun?

I’m glad that nobody was hurt in this incident, I truly believe that shooting up mosques is NOT the way to solve Britain’s many Islam related problems. However, I also can’t help thinking that there is something odd about this case and hopefully as the investigation progresses more information will emerge about this incident.
